Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryThe bed was a bit soft for my back.
This cute little b&b is in a quiet neighbourhood, 5-10 min walk from the metro. Overall you can be in 20 min in Termini. But there are also some restaurants, bars, shops in the area. The building is an older one, but very well renovated, great athmosphere. The room is big enough for 2 people. You get good beeakfast with a selection of sweet and non-sweet variaties. The whole place is very clean, our room was cleaned everyday. Paolo is great host, very helpful in everything, always available, responding, makes your coffee in the morning, etc.

CanadaWe wish we could stay to Italy longer! It was perfect.
Paolo the host was very warm and friendly! When we got to the hotel he offered an espresso and made a tour of our room, then he offered an umbrella in case it would rain. Every morning we had a variety of fresh food of quality for breakfast and Marinella cleaned our room and brought fresh clean towels every day. We were very pleased with the service. Furthermore, the location was 45 min away by walk from the city centre and tourist places such as the Colosseum. However, there are bus stops everywhere and it was very accessible by bus. We recommend it to everyone!

ItalyThe bathroom needs updating - shower facilities, toilet etc.
The location is good for exploring that area, but a little way out of central Rome. Breakfast was basic but good choice of both packaged food, yoghourt etc and fresh croissants and fruit.

ItalyAll was good!
Located in one of the best neighbourhoods of the city, quite and with close transportation. The breakfast was great, better than fancy hotels, it included fresh cakes and cornetti! I always preferr to stay at local and small facilities, for a more environmentally friendly travel and a local-like experience! And “Da Alessia” thanks to Paolo, the host, I had both! And prices are great too!

PolandSome really minor things that don't affect the overall positive experience: -Evening and morning noise from the outside street (parking, garbage collection). The window can't be left closed completely due to lack of air and light. Other rooms of the apartment seem to be facing the inner yard which is calm. -The doors to the common corridor do not provide proper noise insulation, the lock on the door is very old and not always easy to get into with a key. However, there weren't many people walking back and forth, so this wasn't a big problem.
We were greatly satisfied with our stay. Apartments are situated in a picturesque calm district with all the required infrastructure In a walkable range. The room had a comfortable bed and pillows, a fan, a small fridge, and a TV with Netflix. Breakfast was just right to get some energy for a day early. I would like to admit the cleaning of the room - it was clean initially and got cleaned several times during our stay. Paolo the host and apartment staff were helpful and friendly, check-in and check-out also went smoothly. Thank you for your hospitality and attention to guests!

The B&B is located in one of the best neighborhoods of the city. Buses and the metro are close by. The room is spacious and classical, with a great breakfast featuring products from local bakeries. And, most importantly, Paolo makes you feel at home while providing great tips. If you want to experience Rome like a local, look no further.

CanadaI have absolutely no negative things to say about our stay at Alessia . We would stay there again in a heartbeat. There's also an absolutely fantastic restaurant around the corner that Paolo recommended to us appeared.
Paolo the owner/Manger treated us like family. I had lost my phone at the airport and he called the right person and spoke to him on my behalf and I got my phone back. The rooms were amazing as was the breakfast and the server (Marinella). This is the single best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at. We are trying to stay there again on our way back home to Canada.

ItalyPlease pay attention before booking to ensure most comfort during your stay: There are three rooms available for booking. The room "Blues" with pink bathroom is the only one without bidet. If you are someone to whom bidet is essential - I encourage you choose one of the other two rooms: "Jazz" or "Charlstone" (white or gray bathroom) which both have a bidet. Enjoy your stay!
Nice clean rooms with all needed accommodations and more. The host is one of the nicest people I've ever met. If you need an advice about transport, tickets, places - he is the person you can count on to give a good one. Enjoyable breakfast and perfect location. It is a typical, in the best sense of the word, quite Roman neighbourhood where you can rest after your long sightseeing day. The building has a beautiful garden with a fountain with carps and a couple of benches to sit, relax and enjoy your book (or take beautiful photos). A bus and metro stations are nearby that can take you to any part of Rome. And if you feel to have dinner without going too far - there is a number of restaurants nearby. Recommend!

NetherlandsIf you're not a morning person like me then bring earplugs. Breakfast is from 8 am so I would wake up from preparations, neighbours walking, talking, etc. outside the room but earplugs solved the issue for me. Throughout the night it was quiet though. Was not clear about room service - what time does housekeeping comes, was it every day or at weekends there were no services? Would be nice to have a door sign to indicate when you would like to have room service and when not. Found some hair in the bathroom when arrived so cleaning could be more attentive.
Gorgeous location, not too far from the metro stop and the bus stop is just around the corner. Beautiful neighbourhood to explore as you walk towards Villa Borghese. Da Alessia also has a lovely garden/courtyard where you can sit and enjoy warm evenings with a drink. Nice breakfast and the host and staff were friendly, always happy to help and very accommodating. I had a late check-in which turned out even later due to public transport issues but the host was very patient and understanding. The room has a coffee machine and a kettle to have tea or an espresso but you can also use the coffee machine in the common/breakfast room where you can also find some little cakes or cookies to treat yourself!
