Because we elected to stay in the old part, our hotel had several steps. There was an elevator for the higher floors, but it was quite small. The location made up for the steps!!!

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is within walking distance to most of the attractions. We arrived before check-in and were able to store our luggage with no hassle.

The room was a bit small for 4 people but I guess that's our fault and they were just accommodating 4 people in a two-person room. The fact that they have a nice common area (breakfast/happy hour place) made it fine to have a smaller room because we could easily relax there. The temperature in the room was kept too high (and we couldn't adjust). There was also a bit of street noise coming from a nearby club (but luckily the party didn't go on after 10pm).

Leonardo and Angelo were both great hosts. They were super helpful from restaurant reservations to making recommendations. The breakfast/tea time/happy hour were fantastic. The common area is really nice to hangout. It made our travel so much more comfortable. The breakfast was the best - great food. The location is also very convenient. Oh, the cleaners are good - the place is very clean.

This is the best hotel, by far, that you can find in Florence. I travel a lot and it has been a while since I was so happy with the choice of my hotel. Location, food, cleanness, wifi, everything worked well.

This hotel was outstanding!!! The location could not be better, we walked and were close to everything!!! Leonardo at the front desk was the absolute sweetest! When we asked recommendations he pulled out a map for us and marked them and made notes!! The breakfast provided on site was perfect and the happy hour with wine was such a great addition. The room and bathroom were huge!! And spotless. This hotel and everything you get with it was an incredible value. There are about 20 stairs to get up to the elevator but there is a buzzer at the bottom and they carried our luggage up for us so the stairs were not a big deal to us at all. Highly recommend this hotel!!!!

Parking is hell. Hard to do without the valet (and his costs). December/Christmas time did not help for parking.

The location in the heart of Florence, the quality of the renovation, the comfort of the room. Really good value for money and friendly staff always willing to help. Good breakfast and nice "happy hour" with prosecco ;-)

The people were just what you look for in Hotel staff, helpful, friendly and so very nice to deal with ! We eventually got a kettle for our room for our early morning cuppa ! Good continental breakfast. Evening drinks were a delight.

Hotel Davanzati is on a side street in the historic center of Florence. It is within walking distance to the train station and very close to the Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio, and therefore, the Arno river. It is next to a palace with the same name and situated in a historic building. We enjoyed our stay considerably, the breakfast, and the free offers in the afternoon into the evening. The staff is superb and they can direct you to excellent restaurants that the locals frequent. We highly recommend this place to those who would like to stay in the very center.

I liked everything. Maybe the stairs can be difficult for some people to climb, but we didn’t have a problem. I always prefer a cooked breakfast, but it was still a nice, varied offer of breakfast foods.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s a cozy and beautifully decorated hotel in an excellent area of the city. Great value for your money. The happy hours are such a welcome touch. I really loved this place and so dis my friend.

Some noise can be heard in the rooms from people in the hallways, smell of smoke from people smoking on balcony's wafted into room often.

There were a few times that there was no seating available at breakfast. We were patient and waited but something to keep in mind if you are on a tight timeline.

The staff was very helpful and always available. The room was large and allowed enough space for me to workout. The breakfast, tea time and happy hour were a nice added benefit for staying. The location was perfect for access to everything!!
