The aircon in the room would turn off after a few hours and the room would sit around 21-23 degrees which made it uncomfortable. I had to wake up and turn it on again and again which ruined my sleep which was a shame. Everything else was great.

Excellent location, close to everything. We are visited the region and took just one hour. If you just want to walk in a nice place, the old town is 5 minutes away. The hotel Quiet, clean with nice staff. Their restaurant is divine. We want to come back and show it to our family and friends.

The elevator needs an upgrade but maybe that is the local flavor. Also, the noises and few things in the room could be repaired and improved like bathroom.

Great room with nice view over the garden and pool! Also, fine dining restaurant with good price and breakfast full of options. Nice staff and also free large parking area!

Was a very comfortable and relaxing property. Our room was spotless, breakfast was excellent and staff super nice. Location is short walk to Colle centroid and pool area is superb. We loved our 4 nights here.

Excellent building and sorroundings. Friendly and knowledgable staff always smily and willing to help. Hotel in its previous lives was the cottage home of Pope and before that was a monastery!!! The style is unique. Breakfast really good and the restaurant at a magical place which used to be the cellar or some!! The menu of the latter though not at the high standards of the rest of the venue. Beds among the best i have ever experienced. Rooms are really spacious. Among the facilities there is a large pool in a green beautuful landscape around it.

Minor things really as all so was so picture perfect - glass cups instead of plastic in the room, keep an iron & board in the wardrobe, and tea/coffee facilities in the room. Rug to help with acoustics.

There was a huge range of food available for breakfast. From cereals, pastries, cold cut meats and cheese, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cakes and scrambled eggs. Fresh juice and teas and coffee. It was all presented beautifully and lots to select from. A++ for breakfast choices. The rooms are stunning, a perfect mix of the old/original building teamed up with modern conveniences. Lovely tiled bathrooms with a lit mirror and a towel warmer. Our rooms were serviced everyday which was nice to come back to after a big day of exploring. The bed was massive, a little firm for my liking but still comfortable enough. The tiled floor and high ceilings made the room a little echo-y and could hear the next room if they were speaking loud. A few softer elements ie a rug in the room would help with acoustics. Only plastic cups in rooms for drinks, would have been nice to have a small tea/coffee facility and glass cups or mugs for drinks. There was a mini fridge and lots of wardrobe space. The hotel grounds are magnificent, if it had been warmer we would have had out breakfast on the patio to look at the view. We were happy to dine inside as its interior design is so gorgeous. The pool and surrounding were beautiful, a little too cold to swim in April, but was available if you needed. Maybe include a hot tub for cooler months? Although there is a local spa offsite the hotel aligns with if you do want a sauna/spa experience. Easy location to get to if you have a car - would recommend hiring a car when in Tuscany as there are so many little towns and vineyards to visit not far from Colle Di Val d'Elsa.

Amazing accommodation - very unique. Dinner is experience in fine dining in very atmospheric environment. Breakfast buffet is outstanding. So glad we chose this lodging for our Via Francigena journey.

Lovely and cosy place to stay in beautiful Toscana. This was our second time at Colle Val D’Elsa and again it was a beautiful visit. We would like to thank especially Ms Iliana and Ms Elena for the warm welcome when we checked in.

Didn’t realise the train was so far from the property and it was really difficult to organise a taxi, however the staff assisted us in finding a driver.

Beautiful historic building, large rooms, extremely comfortable bedding, friendly staff, loved the pool area and vibes. Close to water falls and town. Lovely restaurant and bar.

no heating, it was a little uncomfortable inside the bedroom as floors are all tiles, and the weather was already cold, the charging for electric car was extraordinarily expensive, an hour for EUR15 - does not seem to make sense

The property is beautiful and in a central location for reaching Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. The breakfast room ladies were delightful as were the ladies in the Cardinale restaurant. Mina was an extremely affable and polite head waitress whose standard of courtesy is hard to come across in service industries anymore.

The hotel could organise a bit more the information for guests who do not have their own transport. Information and options around taxis, buses and trains was not easy to get, although with the helpful staff we sorted everything in the end.
