First night, the fire alarm started around 5am and didn’t stop for 1 hour. We left the building, but were shortly told nothing there was no emergency and we returned to our rooms, with the alarm still on. Pretty frustrating, as you can imagine.

The room was clean and comfortable. The location is superb. The staff is very kind and helpful. The food is good. Even though we arrived late. we were served dinner in the room after 23:00. Thank you!

The hotel construction was still not completed and the gym facility was not available as well as no business center

Public beach next to the hotel is very small and very busy. We were there in august for 4 nights. Got free bottles of water only for the 4-th night. Ask at the reception if you don’t get some. Molfetta is a small place, very difficult to get a taxi.

The location of the hotel is problematic and not close to any attraction or bathing beach. There is a strong musty smell throughout the hotel. The bathroom door came out of place and did not close. They were unable to fix it and did not agree to change us a room because there was no room on the same level as ours available

A/C wasn't working in a 5* hotel. Couldn't sleep because the room was too warm and opening the window was impossible because of the noise outside. Lift was half way to the floor, meaning you had to use the stairs.

Had booked two sea view rooms and on arrival the receptionist said there were none available. He was mistaken, made no apology. I had booked 4 rooms by mistake, but all 4 were in my name which he could see on his system, including 3 of the 4 with a sea view. We were given two junior suites with a view of clothes lines at the back of the hotel. (photo below) Overbooking was a genuine mistake on my part due to a glitch with the booking.com app which never confirmed my original booking so I booked again and which the hotel accepted (I only needed 2 rooms). But they wouldn't arrange a refund even though they had been paid twice until I spent 45 minutes trying to get through to Booking.com late at night. Insisted my car could not stay overnight on their huge and empty forecourt for one night, and was then dragged from my breakfast as they couldn't figure out how to start the car the following day, even though they had driven it to the garage, a 5 minute walk away. I had to leave mid-breakfast and walk over in the baking heat to bring the car round myself. For a hotel at this level, the contents of the minibar were underwhelming in the extreme (no snacks of any sort, just 2 small bottles of water and a small range of alcohol on a day when it was 35+ degrees). Large cupboard in the room only had 3 hangers. Not helpful.

Roof terrace - meant as the key attraction - was not open. No possibility to have meals outside - main drawback during COVID

Claudia and Annalisa from the Reception Desk as well as Maitre d’ - extremely kind and helpful. They really do all they can to make guests’ stay as pleant as possible. Location in the ancient building, next to the XII c cathedral and to the picaresque small beach.

I booked because of the SPA and rooftop facilities as I was travelling on my own. I got there and both services were closed although still advertised online. I had not received any communication about it despite booking 3 months ago. For a 5 stars hotel this is very poor. I was given a room upgrade but still this didn’t fill my time… I ended up not knowing what to do as there isn’t much to do in Molfetta if you don’t have a car.

Hotel and Rooms are fine, staff is also fairly good
