Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA very strangely designed bed, mentioned in the other reviews. There is a narrow and completely useless tiny shelf right above the headboard. It doesn't affect your sleep in any way, but it's quite possible to bang your head against this shelf when you lie down.
Great location, friendly staff, a nice basic Roman style hotel, clean and quite comfortable

United KingdomThe bed was too firm (but that's personal perference). That was it really.
Very close to Rome Termini train station, in a quiet area of Rome (although the area had a couple of really nice Italian restaurants which we used, we didnt have breakfast here either). Good sized room well equipped. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the quirky traditional lift. Great value for money. Would definitely return.

RomaniaThe hotel doesn't have breakfast facilities. If you are a big fan of rich breakfast you need to talk at the reception if they can help. However there's a bar at 40m. I would have expected more fancy toiletries and a vanity pack. There was a shelf right above the bed and couldn't sit upright on the bed. For who loves to take their coffee in bed 🙈 it's uncomfortable.
Liked the fact that was very close to Termini station and very quiet at the same time. I haven't heard a single noise. Bed was made every day, as well as changing the towels in the bathroom. Clean linen the 3rd day. Staff was helpful in every single request. I had a broken shower head and they have replaced it as soon as I told them. Free water and (instant)coffees and a kettle available. Quick tip for other travellers: all buses coming from the airports stop on the other side of the station and instead of following google maps instructions to go around the piazza you'd better just cross inside the station on the other side and you'll find yourself just in front of Milazzo street. Hotel at the end, no big luminous signs, so don't panic.

United KingdomThere was a fair bit of noise from the apartment above during the morning, it sounded like boisterous children but it didn't bother us as we were heading out. It could have been annoying if you fancied a lie in.
Excellent location, very spacious room and comfy beds. The shower was great, everything was spotlessly clean and the security of the building was ample. The hotel is located down a side street near the main station and the area was pretty busy at all times, our room was located high up in the building as had 24 hour access via a quirky lift. Other than check in, we didn't see any staff as we were out for many hours during the day and evenings. I would stay again when I return to Rome. Lot of friendly local restaurants and cafes, we tried almost all of them!!

TurkeyThe room was really spacious and clean. The furniture was classic and beautiful. Air conditioner and central heater was working really well. The soundproof glasses were awesome! We were able to sleep in peace without getting any noise from the street. The hotel check in was easy and Mateo was very helpful. After a long journey from our country, coming to the hotel felt like home. The neighbourhood was a little bit problematic as I expected. Because it was 7-8 mins walk to the central train station Roma Termini. But the building was safe and protected. Daily cleaning was well. Elevator was working well. The lightning of the room was peaceful. The bathroom was really big and useful. There were many materials to use. If I come back Rome, I would definitely stay at here!!!

FrancePhonic insulation... in particular with respect to the floor above. One night we were awoken by what sounded like an elephant walking above. Don't know whether the concerned neighhbor was overweigth or not.. but the vibrations were impressive!
Perfect location close to the railway station, in a quiet street. Therefore, easy to take public transportation (although, frankly, most spots in Rome can be reached on foot from the hotel). Many restaurant around, although we did not eat there in the evening. No breakfast, but it is easy to find places around. Large room, comfy beds. Very friendly and reactive staff.

United KingdomTea bags and milk for us English. 😉.
A bit difficult to find initially, only because it didn’t look like a hotel from the outside, just one big brown door, but once we’d got our bearings, it was ideal for the train and metro station, and on a quiet street. About 30 mins walk to some of the main sights. Very clean, room and large comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. A kettle with coffee…(but no teabags or milk ….this is Italy…it’s coffee all the way!) The gentleman on reception was very helpful in explaining keys etc, directions and recommendations, and nothing was too much trouble.

United KingdomThe receptionist Marco was very helpful and gave a very thorough explanation of how to reach our room when we checked in. The room was cleaned daily and was kept very clean. The location is very convenient, within 10 minutes walk to Roma Termini. I personally like the little market outside on the street during the week. Also not noisy as its off the main road.

GermanyOnly one thing .Not sound proof. You can hear your neighbors using the bathroom and talking (heard every word) . We heard a noise all night, a ringing/buzzing sound the last night. Which we were all so tired, we were able to cancel out the noise, thankfully. Otherwise,
Great location 2 blocks from bus and train station. Rooms are huge-perfect for a family. Mini fridge ,wifi, heating, cooling system and working elevator! Bets staying at a hotel , so glad we decided to book this.
