Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The stay was very comfortable and it was very quiet. The building was restored in 2021 so it has soundproof doors and windows. Breakfast is at a corner cafe. Emanuele is very professional and does a great job taking care of the guests. The location is very good, close to the port parking since parking is unavailable due to the Relais being in the ZTL (Zona Traffico Limitato).

IsraelNo possibilty to park nearby, it is restricted for residents only. you can stop nearby to unload and load luggage, and then park in the Port which is 10 mins walk away. WiFi signal in the room is weak.
Emanuele a welcome great host, with warmth, attentive and ready to provide any help and guidance. As a family, we stayed in the apartment. A lot of space although one ensuite is a bit crowded for a group of family, yet it was known upfront, so no complaining. Great location in the historic center of Gallipoli. Continental breakfast, Emanuele pampered us with fresh warm pasticciotto with cream, delicious.

The property has an excellent location in the center of old town, very close to the beach and other attractions but far enough from the crowds and noise of restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable. The customer service displayed by the Manager Emanuele was impressive. He was very attentive not only with overseeing everyday activities but also helpful when medical attention was needed. Bravo Emanuele!

SwitzerlandThe GM, Emmanuel, went the extra mile. Besides enjoying the beautiful and large room, he provided an Ethernet cable, and even organized a shirt for a videoconference and let me use another guest room as my „office“ for half a day. We were very happy, exiting the door you are directly in the lively old town and we ate our gelati on the small and cozy hotel terrace. Highly recommended and thanks again Emmanuel!

RomaniaShower cabin size. It works well, but for a medium sized man the shower cabin was on the small side, but very clean and decent size bathroom overall.
We had the best time in donna grazia, we were actually the first visitors! Everything was clean and well thought through. The location is great! Gallipoli old center can feel a bit like a maze with all the small streets, but it is really easy to navigate to Donna grazia; main road next to the water, to the right at a restaurant. Donna grazia is a nice beautifull colorfull gem in the heart of the old city. It has a nice romantic, private feeling. Nice balcony with very high ceilings. Before we stayed in a other hotel that was loud.. donna grazia is not noisy which was great. The room was clean, light, new, with a working airco, usb sockets, fridge, hairdryer etcetera. Bathroom was nice and modern. If you are very tall or bigger the shower might just be a little small but that was really not the case for us. Breakfast could be taken on th balcony (bit hot for us) or just around the corner. Most of all; the hosts emanuelle and bartelo are so nice! They made sure everything was in order and when we were a bit in trouble because a bus to lecce+ airport did not show up, we could arrange a ride from them! Thank you for our great stay and for the caring atmosphere! Alex (ro) & Nadia (nl)

UkraineDouble room has no window, only entrance to public space - breakfast area and stairs leading to other rooms. Doors has no airing mode, thereof you'll have no fresh air. Loud conditioner - will not let you sleep. In order to have some privacy you'll have to keep doors shuttered, thereof - no natural sunlight as well. Not sound proof - you'll hear all noises from the stairs, doors slamming etc. The lights on the stairs were on all night, and door curtain is not thick enough to ensure darkness in the room. After first night I've told hotel staff about my issues with sleeping, but was told - we are sold out, no chance to change the room (which wasn't true as on Booking there was room available for my dates). After that host pulled away and pretended the problem didn't exist, never once asking me, if only out of politeness, how I was doing... Bottom line: 1. level of comfort was unacceptable for 250EUR rate 2. hotel staff was not able to professionally manage and resolve issue raised by customer.
Great central location, 5 min to beach, cute patio, speed WiFi, spacious room. Breakfast - coffee, one croissant, yoghurt, but each day the same.
