How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Having a room on the ground floor, while convenient, exposes you to loud street noise starting early in the morning. I would recommend blackout curtains to reduce both light and noise.
Jennifer was a lovely host. Her English is pretty good and she was able to recommend places close by to eat and shop. The location was great: close enough to Saint Mark's square that we could get there by water bus, but far enough away that we were away from the crowds. Espresso is available at the front desk 24/7, which is lovely. The room was spacious and clean. We would stay here again.

I wasn't aware this property was not a hotel until I received a message which said "we don't have a reception". I felt a bit nervous as I arrived quite late at night (after midnight), but it went quite smoothly thanks to prior communication with the staff. This is not a Hotel in a traditional sense, but it is quite difficult to find a hotel in Trieste with short notice. I enjoy talking with people, so it's a bit sad I couldn't talk with hotel staff in person.
The property is situated in the city centre, and it is convenient to walk to any major sightseeing spots. Property seemed quite new, and the room was perfect clean. Support via SMS/WhatsUp were perfect. If you don't need physical presence of hotel staff, this place is perfect fit with good value for money.

Our stopover in Trieste was at the termination of a cruise, which had originally been scheduled for Venice. That disappointment was more than overcome by the charm of Trieste, and the ease and comfort of our stay at Elisabeth Boutique. A perfect location. It is just a few steps from the cruise terminal, and with the ability to leave our luggage in the lockers in the entry we were able to set off to explore. I was a little concerned at first that entry might be a problem, but with the excellent advance information, all went smoothly. We departed Trieste by bus, and it was an easy 20 minute walk to bus/train station. Thanks for a most enjoyable stay!

The mattress was too soft and the view was not very good, but this in no way detracted from our experience.
Location is awesome, right in a city center, very close to the all sights. Room is nicely decorated and has everything you may need. We was travaling with a baby, hotel provided us with a really good cot. Checkin process and comunication was super comortable. Also hotel provided us with a coupon to reduce parking price, which came very handy.

We had two rooms, one was to the main street which was great but the other one just into a small yard which is quite dark.
Everything was great. We spend two times dinner in the enoteca next door and it was just delicious.

The bed is too soft, when in two one just sinks in the middle. Lack of shelves in the bathroom and shower, looks nice but very impractical. In the automatic check-in one cannot input the years but needs to scroll back until you reach the year you were born or when your ID expires. Good luck if you were born prior to 1985!
Central location, automatic check-in great if you are arriving late, new, welcome kit. Has great potential.
