How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

So clean modern and a fantastic breakfast. Hosts were amazing and knowledgeable for recommendations as well as imparting local knowledge for travel and sights.

Stunning property, beautifully designed. Fantastic host who was so helpful and full of great ideas of things to do in the area. A true super-host. Plus we had the most delicious breakfast with the most wonderful frittata cooked by Paolo’s grandmother and olive oil made by his brother. Highly recommend a stay here.

Beautifully decorated and comfortable, great location, very kind staff who are clearly passionate about what they do. The breakfast was lovely and fresh, rooms are quiet, comfortable and very modern. Would definitely stay here again.

There is smell of damp in the property and especially in our bedroom. This was the only drawback of our stay.
The staff are very friendly and hospitable.

Carlo and Paulo are such friendly, helpful and efficient hosts. They speak immaculate English (and seem to get by in Spanish and French) and offer good advice for what to visit and where to eat. The location is 5 walking minutes from the centre. Breakfast is plentiful and tasty.

The two brothers,Paolo and Marco, run and look after the place from their hearts. It is so well kept and maintained. Decorations, amenities,bed linens, services ,cleanliness are top notch. Sicilian breakfast is very delicious served in a very stylish room. Good location walking distant (but lot of steps to climb up and down) to main attractions. Highly recommended.

From the outside this property looks like most Sicilian properties but inside this house has been modernised and transformed to make perfect guest accommodation. Lovely artwork and decor, great en-suite facilities, wonderful staff and a super breakfast all made for a perfect stay in Noto! Highly recommended!

The hotel was exceptional. Carlo went beyond the call of duty - his breakfast was sublime (try the ricotta with cinnamon) and supported us with a hire car accident- he was so thoughtful and kind. Genuinely a wonderful place to stay.

Fantastic attention to detail from decor to food. Wonderful welcome and advice from host Lucia. Breakfast was our best in Sicily .

The charm of the property and its location. The owner of the property, Carlo, is extremely friendly, kind, enterprising and promptly helped us with whatever we needed. The property is beautiful, cozy and the breakfast is delicious.

Nothing, everything was amazing!
It was one of the most beautiful little hotels I've ever stayed in! So clean, comfortable, and with great amenities. It feels like staying in someone's house, it's so intimate and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and with everything you could ever need. The breakfast had so many options, everything was so fresh and the housekeeper, Rosalba (?) baked the most delicious cakes every morning. We loved it so much that we even stayed an extra night!

One staff member, was not very resourceful when I asked general information, like laundry, reservations for places, etc.
The rooms were super nice! very big, super good design and totally clean. I really liked the room. The staff was also very nice, specially the owner. He was there all morning checking everything was running smoothly.

We loved everything about this place. The owner has renovated this property with attention to every detail. All staff were exceptional in the the way they welcomed and looked after you. The location is terrific. The breakfast delicious and has all the facilities you need. You feel like you are part of the owners extended family. would recommend to anyone travelling to Noto!

Ummmmm.... I have nothing.
The rooms were extremely comfortable. The AC was excellent, given how hot it was when we were there in late July during a heat wave. The bathroom had an amazing shower. Both Lucia and Carlo were fabulous hosts. Much of the breakfast came from Carlo's farm and was especially delicious. We especially loved enjoying cocktails on the rooftop as the sun was setting.
