Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere are no shower gels/shampoos so we needed to prepare our own. The room is a little dim at night if you prefer more light however it didn't really impact us much!
It is very close to Milano Centrale station, easy to get to and from airport. The room is very spacious and clean, staff is super friendly. It deserves at least 4 stars for the price and location.

Moldova- the room was waay smaller than it seemed on the photos, but that's ok - the drain in the shower was broken and the water drained way too slowly :( - tv is hanging way too high up below the ceiling, so when you are laying in the bed, the image is getting too faded and deformed - weak noise isolation, were woken up early in the morning because of the neighbours' noises in the hall
- convenient location just across the central train station - extremely friendly and helpful hotel emplyees, we had a very late check in (around 3 AM) and they did everything to help us reach the hotel easily and checked us in remotely, so we really appreciated that! - the room itself was super clean, both bedroom and bathroom and it was cleaned on the daily basis and the towels were daily changed - suuuper comfortable and soft bed, had a really amazing and cozy sleep - delicious sandwitch bakery just behind the corner (and many other cafes, too)

United Arab EmiratesWatch out for some of the restaurants around...they are quick to rip you off. (Not the accommodations fault) Needed an extra blanket and pillow and couldn't find one. The room didn't have a cup or glass in sight. No way at all to drink water. Ended up having to put our heads under the tap! Nice but not worth the money
Good proximity to the station. Handy to some restaurants. Check in was very friendly. Easily navigated.

United KingdomWe stayed in room 107 which is extremely dark. The decor looks nice and modern but more lighting in the room is needed to go with the dark walls, it made it really difficult to get ready. When we entered our room it was quite dusty and along the back of the bed looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for weeks. The bedside sockets are USB ports which is helpful for phone chargers but then there’s a massive lack of sockets available for things like hair straighteners etc. Additionally, for the price it was lacking facilities like tea and coffee making facilities. Finally, the rooms are not sound proof at all. We were woken multiple times through the night up until 2:30am and again from 5:30am, when people are in the corridor it sounds like they’re at the end of your bed the walls are paper thin. The hotel is fine for a quick 1 night stay but I personally wouldn’t book again.
The location is perfect as it’s right outside the central station with train and metro links easily accessible. The hotel is 1 floor of a shared building and when you get out the lift the entrance area is well decorated. The staff were friendly and welcoming and looked after our luggage for us. Theres no mini fridge in the room but the hotel sells water etc at a really reasonable price.

United KingdomNo fridge in the room. The shower is a little on the small side for a big bathroom - big people definitely won’t fit in there. Having the hose holder at knee length didn’t make sense. I understand there’s the big one on top, but not everyone wants to get their hair wet.
Comfortable bed, easy to find and the staff that I interacted with were friendly and welcoming.

NorwayThis is not a boutique hotel, but a small and well located room with a facelift. A nice paint job and a few newer amenities, but still a bit basic to be called a "boutique hotel"
A very basic but clean little room in a very central location - nice staff - easy access to the Central Train Station and all public transport. I admire that they are a small business trying to do a nice and friendly and affordable solution.

United StatesThere is no hotel food service. The recommended restaurant across the street was average. There was a McDonalds down the street which was handy for breakfast/coffee.
This is a great place to stay if you need access to the main train station. I wouldn't recommend it for long stays. Initial access is gained by a doorbell on the street and by fob after registration, The hotel is one flight up on the elevator. The staff is interested in pleasing the guests. The train station is a 3-5 minute walk. The room was clean.
