Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel has a good location and that’s it. Nothing has changed I imagine since it first opened. Felt like I was in a time warp and stick in the 1970’s. Avoid at all costs
Breakfast shockingly bad. Very basic and poor quality.

United StatesOur room faced Pescara beach and offered an amazing view of the Adriatic along with a nice breeze. In the distance we could barely make out Croatia! We saw the most brilliant sunrises. The one drawback is that our side of the hotel also faces the square (you can see it in the photo above) where a lot of people congregate. Seems like people tend to stay up late in Italy. It was a bit noisy (and we were on the 4th floor) for our liking but it did not prevent us from falling asleep and getting a good night's sleep. One minor complaint is that we were not able to charge our dinner to the room. Fortunately, they accept credit cards.
Breakfast included with the room reservation. Nice selection, amazing cappuccinos! Staff was helpful and accommodating. Was traveling with my daughter. When we got to the room we found there was only one bed (had asked for 2 in the confirmed reservation). Desk staff immediately moved us to another room with the same amazing view-- and 2 beds. Had breakfast and dinner in the Terrazzo (rooftop restaurant). Amazing views of Pescara beach. At dinner they sent over waitstaff fluent in English. Ferdi was incredibly helpful and professional. The wine list looked like our local yellow pages....one listing after another. He asked if I would trust him to recommend a bottle of wine that would complement our (fabulously delicious btw....) meal. We took a chance and what he brought was perfect and produced locally in the Abruzzo region-- and it was NOT the most expensive selection. In fact, far from it.

GermanyThe biggest disappointment was clearly the breakfast. Actually not just a disappointment, but a true annoyance that had the potential to completely ruin our vacation. Not only the selection was very poor, based mostly on pastries, but the two blonde ladies that were serving at the restaurant were sometimes plain rude and borderline condescending. Nobody told us that if we want fruits we have to ask specifically, and only then, they will be brought from the back. Available for self-servicing were only the pastries and some cheap sliced cheese and slices of stale ham. One day some boiled eggs were added to simulate a slight variation in menu. In conclusion, 90% were pastries, and if you are gluten-intolerant, you may skip the breakfast completely and just hunger. At this restaurant that also served the hotel's breakfast there was also a party on a Saturday evening, so the fact that we got a room on the floor just below, even if we had a small child with us, doesn't exactly show concern for the clients' needs... Last but not least, the building is rather old. I don't care about the aspect, but there are clearly some issues with the water pressure, and there were even a few good hours when there was actually no water at all. Plus, there was no kettle / water boiler in the room, no clothes' ironing board or a similar tool, and the electrical sockets were impractically placed.
The best thing about this hotel is clearly the location, very close to the beach, yet also central and near the commercial area. The cleaning staff and some (not all!) of the reception workers were also friendly and helpful. The wi-fi signal was quite okay and the air-conditioning was working fine.

ItalyOld facilities: old furniture, old bathroom, old worn out carpet in the rooms. My room had a beautiful view, because was on the sea side, but it was extremely noise due to rumors coming from street all night long. Poor food choice at breakfast, even if the terrace was beautiful.
The hotel is in an amazing position, in the city center and in front of the sea. Staff is extremely kindly and ready to help in case of need.
