Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UruguayThe heat was on and could not be turned off,(had to sleep with the AC and the heat on to balance the temperature), the blinds nor the windows could be closed correctly, the room was literally in the reception so it was really noisy. And worst thing was that we got back from a walk around 6 pm and there were homeless people camping in the hotel door, also, at night there were a lot of shouting and fighting in the streets.
Clean sheets, clean towels, bed comfortable enough. Proximity to Termini Station.

JordanThe room was very dirty, stinky and full of bugs and beetles. There were many beetles inside the furniture and the bed sheets. I was bitten everywhere in my body. My eye got swollen and I was not able to neither enjoy my vacation nor taking pictures. I killed 4 beetles during the night however it seems I couldn’t kill all of them.

AustraliaRooms were smelly and dirty. Also had a single bed (prefer a double)
Was a solid stay - fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. The room was very small and a bit untidy and smelly but overall it got the job done for two nights. Can't complain. Was right next to the station as well and 20 minutes walk from the collesium.

United StatesThe location of the hotel itself is very convenient in being right across from the main terminal, BUT at night it did feel less safe than I like to feel. We had an early wake up to catch a bus to the airport on our final day, and walking in the area at 3 AM was less than ideal, however there were enough people wandering that it didn't feel like it was as risky as it could have been. It's not a luxurious stay, the bed is pretty hard, with no AC in the summer I'm sure it'd be really uncomfortable, but as a stay for two adults just traveling on a budget to see rome, it was well above what I had hoped for.
Truly, for the price of the stay (180 dollars for 4 nights) it was WELL above our expectations. The front desk people were (generally) extremely friendly and helpful, they let us check in early when we arrived before check in, they offered us complimentary breakfast foods even outside of breakfast time, and were overall just very accommodating. The room itself was completely fine, especially when given the price. It was clean, stark, no bed bugs, no bugs at all. Shower worked fine, bathroom was clean. We expected VERY poor accommodations so the bar was very low, but in every way we were incredibly pleasantly surprised.

United StatesMy shower didn’t close, it only had half a door so water covered the floor. Staff woke me up every single day by knocking on my door several times until I got up and opened the door. Staff is very creepy towards single female travelers. They come into the room and bathroom with you (which is too small to fit two people) Every single time that they asked if I wanted cleaning of my room I said “no, I want to relax in my room alone” and they come inside and clean anyway. Stay away from this hotel, they will not leave you alone. I told them multiple times to stop knocking on my door every single morning and they never stopped. By far the least relaxing hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
Not much to like about this place. The one and only positive was the distance to the train station

IrelandThe area and noise.
The hotel's location is its advantage and, at the same time, its disadvantage. The advantage is that it is in the city center next to the railway station and all attractions are within walking distance. The disadvantage is that it is in the city center and it is very noisy even at night. The district is overrun by "doctors" and "engineers" who certainly do not deal with treatment or design. Breakfasts are modest but enough to survive. I didn't go hungry, although there were some mishaps due to lack of already modest products. The breakfast area is small and you often have to wait for a table because there are not enough tables for the number of guests. The room was of sufficient size and was cleaned after leaving the key at the reception. The bathroom is spacious, but there are stains and mold on the wall and water dripping from the pipe under the sink. The shower cabin is cramped and has a battered shower tray. The water pressure was very good, but it happened that when we returned after 10 p.m., we were wet and cold and we were unable to cool down due to the lack of hot water. Overall, Hotel Ferrari does not live up to its name. It is more of a place to sleep than a hotel in the normal sense. There are no restaurants or cafes here to drink tea or eat something in the evening, and the area does not encourage strolling around restaurants at night. On the plus side, I can say that the crew is really nice and tries hard, but you can't make a whip out of sand. As a place to sleep, Hotel Ferrari fulfilled its function, although due to the noise from the street I didn't sleep much during my two-week stay.
