How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It is impossible to legally park at the hotel, which means either you break the rules or carry your luggage on a longer distance.
Location, everything was very close. Staff was nice and friendly, everything was clean.

The size of the room - the space between the bed and the walls surrounding it was too narrow.
Very clean & cozy rooms - comfortable bed and thoughtful house-keeping services. I was impressed with the breakfast menu and Loredana, who was there almost each morning - she was a delight, such a nice, warm-hearted and helpful person - she even took the time to point out some veritable touristic attractions. The front-desk ladies were always smiling and greeting appropriately. 10 out of 10 for the staff :)

The hotel was centrally located: close to the harbor, sightseeing spots, restaurants, and cafes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In particular, Anna went out of her way to assist us. Breakfast was tasty and abundant. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed with modern amenities and care for detail. We took advantage of their valet parking in a town where parking is scarce and the public parking cost as much as the hotel valet service.

it was wonderful. the staff went above and beyond. the room was pristine as were the corridors, reception, bar and breakfast section. the breakfast was delicious. really can’t fault this hotel and wish them every success.

The beds are too hard for me and pillows not comfortable. The breakfast room is too cold with bright white and chairs uncomfortable. The food at breakfast is ok, but cappuccino was served almost cold. The toaster is to be changed. I didn't know there was a SPA in the hotel so I didn't take my swimming suit and I was very sorry for this.
I like the room, the fact that all is brand new and clean! Bathroom is big and perfect. The shelves for the luggage, open style is great indeed, the best I had. The position is just perfect as central to tourism visits.

We asked for a late check out, and we were allowed to stay until 12pm for an extra 30 euros, which did not feel very generous.
Great hotel and wonderful staff who did all they could to make us feel comfortable and make our stay unique. Staff really went above and beyond, really impressed with them! The bed was really comfortable!

The breakfast buffet has very few options. There is no coffee machine, so you have to call the waiters everytime you want something (and the cups are small). To sit down for breakfast there are only stools, so not confortable at all.
The hotel is totally renovated, the room we stayed in is very spacious, had 2 full bathrooms. Everything was very clean, new, and modern. The windows trully are soundproof as you can not listen at all the noise from the street. The room was very quiet, (but I dont know if there were people next door). The location is great, you just turn the corner and you are in the touristy historical zone, a lot of restaurants and stores. Also, just 10 minutes walking to the bus central station.

Bed and pillows were very soft.
Everything was great- good location (very close to city centar but in the quiet street), breakfast was excellent (especially fresh strawberries) and the room is big enough (as well as the bathroom) and very clean. Bed and pillows could be better.
