Location and they charge 8 euros for use the Sheets, what doesn't make sense.. It's the same that a rental scooter charge you for the rent and charge you an extra fee for the tire.

Location was 20-30min walk out of town, wouldn’t feel safe waking alone as a solo female at night, however walking with other people felt safe, never had any problems and there’s a taxi service that runs til 2am so that’s really helpful.

Really friendly staff go above and beyond, good sized lockers, comfortable beds, good kitchen and bathroom facilities, friendly atmosphere.

Honestly there was nothing I didn’t like.

Melina was absolutely amazing! Upon arriving I was sent a list of things to do form restaurants to beaches, closest supermarkets and beaches! Even directions getting there - she was really warm and lovely. The hostel itself was so lovely everything you need, kitchen (fully equipped) w/ fresh produce and spices/seasoning provided, bathroom (towels & linen). Very comfortable beds and beautiful people. Couldn’t express my gratitude enough and how much I enjoyed it - just wish I could’ve stayed for longer.

Location is far from the town/station - 30 min walk, which is fine on the down but all uphill on the way back to the hostel.

It's a little bit far from downtown. But if you need, you can take a taxi for a couple of euros.

It's a really nice hostel, with excellent vibes. Melina is the best hostel manager I've ever met. She runs it with joy and passion. Besides, she is a great cook.

Lovely host, very friendly, nice relaxed vibe about the place. 10 mins to a small secluded beach where you can do some exploring along the coastline. Around 25 mins walk to the centre.

The men’s bathroom is not ideal but the women’s can be used by all and it is large and clean.

The hostel itself is quite old. However, the staff are incredible and the bathroom is large and clean. Denielle was very helpful and even hosted me in his other property when there was an issue with the water in the hostel. I am satisfied with my stay. Thank you Melina for your help as well!

Ok, there's a couple of things that I have to mention but they do not ruin the general impression. More like suggestions and what to improve. First, the small bathroom is practically useless. The toilet seat that faces the fixed side of bath cabin I couldn't use, and I doubt that someone who is higher than 1,6m could fit there normally. It's like one of those images you find on believe it or not pages. And please put the mirror in that bathroom, if someone wants to shave for example, to not have to wait for other one to be freed. Second is for those who plan the visit, be sure that the hostel is somewhat far from the city and the beaches, so expect a lit bit of walking each time you leave it. At first it didn't bothered me but after 5 or 6 days it started to catch up with me and it annoyed me a bit. That's it. Come to Tropea! You'll remember it for the rest of your life!

This was by far the most unique hostel experience I've ever had. The feeling right now after I left it is the most positive possible, despite the couple of things that I can find, let's say, not so great. First of all, it all seemed like you're there visiting a friend. All the people were so friendly, nice, welcoming... I'm not taking about the staff yet, I mean guests. I was lucky to have a roommate from a neighboring country so for me each time I was in the room was filled with conversation, which meant a lot since I was traveling alone. You can use the kitchen like in your own house, it has everything. They even brought fresh onions and tomato juice from the people that share the property. The bigger bathroom is superb, clean and spacious. It even has a washing machine. The rooms are ok, a bit small for 6 people but you get used to it. Nice thing that you installed the ropes for drying the clothes.The AC (when not set to blow directly to you at max speed) does a great job. And then comes the staff. Such a wonderful people, who made me speechless a couple of times with their care and thoughtfulness. Melina, thanks for everything. Your gestures meant a world, and what is more, you did all that without me asking for it. It all sure felt like home!

The hostel is quite far from the Tropea center (around 30 min on foot) and there is no public transport The lock in one of the bathrooms was out of order

Extremely pleasant staff, be sure that you are in wonderful helpful hands! The room was clean and comfortable for leaving. During our stay there was no many people, so it was an additional advantage

Owners should make life easier for staff by providing more kitchen things and increasing maintainable items like door locks& improve seating areas outside for smokers

This is a very new hostel & staff are excellent, working hard at keeping the place spotless. There is a washing machine too. Bunks are comfy w/new mattresses! Aircon provided at night 👍 Also a moka was provided at long last 👏, thank you.
