How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location. Too far from the railway station and too far from the town centre. Also there are building works going on next door. It was too residential for us and didn’t feel like a holiday destination.

The free parking is only 3 places. The rest is charged 10€/day.
Very clean Very polite and friendly stuff Excellent location near the center of Desenzano Very quiet Nice breakfast Property is new or renovated. Everything was new Bathroom was clean and water quality and temperature was excellent

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the staff were super friendly and helpful. We couldn't get a taxi to the train station and the manager kindly dropped us off, which was above and beyond! Breakfast was lovely and I would highly recommend!

The thighs that we did not like were fixed when asked by our host.
Breakfast was good, fresh and tasty, in line with our expectations. We liked mix of salty and sweet products served.

Extra shower gels would’ve been good when staying for more than 1 night.
The room was really clean, and spacious with towel and shower gels included. Great breakfast everyday. Perfect location between the station and the centre of town, but also some great lakeside spots closer to the property. Staff were very kind and accommodating and even offered to drive us to the station on our departure.

From the center, it is 10-15 mins away by walking, but it is not a dealbreaker tbh.
The rooms are really well maintained and looks modern. The walk-in shower and bidet were amazing. The breakfast selection looks small but is more than adequate. For this price, can't imagine getting a better service than this.

Was all lovely. Of note: it is about a 15 min walk to the port area & restaurants - but it is pleasant. Also, there is building work going on next to the b& b but it did not impose on our stay at all. Good insulation in the rooms and we were out all day anyway.
Rooms are v clean, well designed, great & quiet air con, comfortable beds, lovely rainfall shower, copious breakfasts, staff so lovely & v helpful. Stayed a week very happily. Could have hired bikes from them& parking was available if needed. Big supermarket (Conad) only 5-7 mins walk (which we needed to stock up on gluten-free things for packed lunches)

Just some little things to notice. The breakfast isn't any special but it was okay just for two nights. It was little bit confusing that there wasn't good covering curtain in the bathroom and I got a room where the window was to the street.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and a modern style. Citybikes can be rent from the hotel so you will get easily to the center or some winery. Good airconditioning in the summer time.
