How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Breakfast was lovely, with a couple of options of breads, pastries and coffees. Room with great WiFi connection and comfortable beds. No issues during my stay.

UNSTATED EXTRA FEES Nowhere is stated that we had to pay extra 3.5 euros per person per day and when I booked the hotel online I've paid a "city fee" of 21 euros but when I was checking out they asked me to pay again 21 euros. Be aware!

Little to No wifi signal in room 20 and the bin was broken in bathroom and noisy clattering when we used it. No dinner option other than delivery.
Beautiful view of historic town. Staff couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful, lent us umbrella to go a walk. We got the wrong terminal and they had patience and came to us there instead after waiting. It’s very warm inside and welcoming. Great value for money. Lovely area restaurant 8 mins walk.

It was a little dusty, although that may not be that much of a concern. If you are nervous, you should quit.

The rooms are tired and there was a considerable issue with black mould on the ceiling not helped by the room being cold - there was a lot of noise in the early hours but we were on the ground floor right next to reception so I don't think we would have heard on a higher floor -i had read reviews of the hotel previously so wasn't expecting it to be luxurious in any way but I think they could heat the rooms better and get rid of the mould issue
Excellent parking a warm welcome and the location worked very well for my needs

There´s a bus or eletric stop 2minutes from the hotel, the room was clean and the hotel has a parking space if u are travelling by car its really convenient.

The breakfast could be from a bigger from a bigger variety.
It was easy to get in touch, the check-in and check-out process. Everything was clean, the receptionist was really kind and gentle.

The space for showering is quite small. In the morning, it gets pretty busy because there is only one person responsible for the reception and the breakfast service.
Polite and helpful staff. Location with easy access to the city center. The Room and bathroom were clean. The shower is great but the space for showering was quite small. They have free parking and breakfast included. If I return to Milan I would stay here again.

A bit far from the city center, but it was easily accessible by tram, so it wasn’t too bad!

Location was a little difficult because the tram/trolley line near the hotel was down. This made it more difficult to get to the center of the city and near the sites of interest. It doesn’t have an elevator but we didn’t have too many floors to go.
Rooms were clean, quite basic but clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was also good and clean and efficient. The staff was a family, operated and owned?, but it had a homey feel. Breakfast was simple but great coffee!!!

Rather far from center. The room is small. Very hot inside even when it is windy and raining outside. And the air conditioning is additionally charged. The breakfast is average. No vegetables or eggs. Just bread with jams and sweets.
The fridge in the room. Always possible to have hot water at the reception to make tea. Friendly staff.

To take a shower holding the shower because it was broken and not fixing it to the wall. And there were way more sweet than salt options for breakfast.

No AC. Slightly outside the city center, not within walking distance, which means that you have to take public transport into town. However, a tram station was very close by and easy to travel with so it’s wasn’t really a problem for us.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Comfortable beds. Clean. Possible to store luggage at the hotel. Simple breakfast included. The Wi-Fi was good.
