We enjoyed our stay at Falkensteiner Calabria with our 2 year old son. The resort is beautiful and very well taken care of. Very welcoming and friendly stuff, excellent services and facilities for kids, good food, great animation program by Andrea and live music by Mario. We will return :)

Rooms need bringing up to 2023 standards. Feel a bit dated. Very clean however.

Superb location, great outdoor facilities, particularly the swimming pool and the near private beach with restaurant was fantastic.

The room key didn’t work and had to be changed daily, sometimes twice a day On arrival the key only opened the room next door not ours, this soon became frustrating as the only way to get it changed was to walk to reception which was not close to accommodation

A slight lack of English speaking staff and families made some communication strained. Certainly wasn't the end of the world though!

Great location, facilities and of course the food! Staff were really helpful and always happy to help.

Very little to do for the teenagers in the evenings, very basic English language skills from most staff, which made getting gluten free food challenging, which ultimately led to a trip to the on site doctor.

Bice accommodation, good food, lots of bars and swimming pools were great

We had a ground floor room and we often had cockroaches and bugs in the bathroom. There was also mold in the bathroom, so the cleanliness can be improved. The cleaning staff does not speak English and we had to call them out to refill the soap, for example.

The entertaining staff is young, they speak english and they were very helpful. Great entertaining options onsite (archery, minigolf, airhockey games, tennis and others, aqua gym, evening shows - although some only in italian).

The food wasn’t what I’d expect of a 4 stars hotel As amazing as it sounds there is no dessert fork (so there was no fork that my 2yrs old son could use to eat. Bring your own children cutlery)

Entertaining was predominately in Italien which is fine as most guest are Italien but got a little annoying after a while. All staff do speak English and German too.

We enjoyed the variety of activities on offer at the hotel. This holiday we wanted to stay at one place without exploring the area (Corona) and for that the hotel was great. We particularly enjoyed the morning yoga session by the pool and the SUP hiring at the beach.

It was truly disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. Check in was 3pm but you are required to go through a pre-check in process. There is no organisation to this, with people pushing in front of others. This could have easily been avoided by setting up queues. It took 1 hour to get to the start of the chaos, where they couldn't find our information. We were eventually sent inside to "check in" and were told that our room wasn't ready and we would need to wait 15 mins. It was a 30+ degree celsius day, we've already waited one hour outside, it was an hour after check in and it still wasn't ready. Half an hour passed and we enquired again. We were hot and bothered but we also spent a lot of money to enjoy the facilities and so far had spent 90mins standing around. We were then informed that they did not know when our room would be ready but we should go through and use the pool. After spending so long in the heat we went to the bar to get some water only to find there were no paper cups left for drinks. We asked the bartender who got annoyed with us because apparently we were meant to have a bottle from check in, which we clearly didn't receive (or know about) as we didn't have a room. We didn't receive our room until after 6pm. This was extremely disappointing. Once we did get to the room, we had no soap or shampoo in the dispensers, the aircon didn't work and the bar fridge didn't work. We have no idea why it took so long to the prepare the room. Meals are all inclusive, once again with no forms of queues or organisation people are pushing in front of each other and dropping food on the floor and the staff just walk by it. Be prepared to fight for your food in the buffet or you will miss out. Such a beautiful place with so much potential but a little organisation would go a long way.

The swimming pool area is undoubtedly amazing.

It was like in a war at 9.00 am breakfast waiting for a croasant and also for a normal coffe we wait about 15 minutes. In a swimming pool no empty umbrellas after 9:30am. They told me in a reception manager will give you a call about dinner in a grill restaurant and 3 days Nobody call tipical there. To long distance from the beach to the sea for kids

We were happy with sports entertiment so kids can play fotbool and Ping pong and reallly enjoy it

AC in room was crap. Really didn’t work. Language barrier for English speaking made it hard. Food was good but limited. Nothing like Caribbean all-inclusive resorts.

We had no air conditioning in our room. It was blowing warm air all night and it was turned all the way down. When we called to ask front desk to send someone to fix it, they didn't understand English at all. When it was time to check out they said we owe money for pool towels they gave us at check I. With no mention of cost. For $500 a night I was not paying to use a pool towel.

Pool was great, food was pretty good for buffet and place was very clean.
