Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaLeaving Mangili Garden ... could have stayed much longer!
Mangili Garden is a gem in the gorgeous Parioli district ... thank you to Lara and the staff for accommodating us at the last minute due to flight cancellations. Welcome drinks and the most exquisite and delicious breakfast spread in elegant surroundings. A beautiful stroll to Villa Borghese and the historical centre.

SloveniaHotel is just a bit outside of city center, but for us it wasn’t a big problem. You have a bus station in front of the hotel and we used an app called “Moovit” which saved us- you just type in where you want to go and it tells you which bus lines or metro lines to use and when, and it gives you multiple options, so you can easily manage around town. A little tip if you want to use electric scooters- prepare your paypal or apple pay or a safepay card because we didnt have those so we couldnt use them because of that.
One of the best hotels we’ve been to. Beautiful and clean room, comfortable bed and pillows (which is very important for us when traveling, never had bed this comfortable in a hotel), amazing breakfast-anything you can wish for, staff super nice and friendly, they cater to your needs, maybe random but they also had amazing smelling shower gels, you dont need to bring yours. We had to leave early for an early flight and they made us a little lunch box night before, so thank you girls for a wonderful experience in lovely Rome. Would definitely come back here again and recommend to everyone.

SwitzerlandThe only thing we can mention here is the location. The neighbourhood is very nice and quiet and has a huge beautiful park nearby. However, if you want to do everything on foot and don't want to rely on a taxi, it takes a lot of energy to walk to the centre and back ;)
We stayed at the Mangili Garden Hotel for four nights and were very pleased with everything. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very tasty and the service was courteous. We even got a breakfast box in our room on the last day as we were leaving very early in the morning. The accommodation was very comfortable. We would definitely come back and highly recommend the accommodation!

Czech RepublicWe loved everything
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this lovely boutique hotel, the facility is beautiful and cozy, the staff is welcoming and attentive, the place was quiet, and the breakfast was exceptional. I’d give a separate highest possible rating for breakfast, a lot of healthy options and very big choice of different dishes, veggies and frites.

TurkeyMany steps at the entrance makes it difficult to carry large luggage’s. If you have one, prefer the rooms on the upper floor.
Good location, within the walking distance to city center. Beautiful building, wonderful breakfast with nicest staff. Also the rooms have very tasteful decoration. Beautiful neighborhood.

MoldovaThe location is very good, in a more silent and clean area of Rome, not far from Auditorium and Vila Borghese park. The room was bright and clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable. The breakfast was delicate, and tasty, specific for a boutique hotel. The staff was amazing.

BrazilThe cleaning is incredible. Wonderful environment with a beautiful garden and everything very well looked after. Breakfast is something very special, beautiful, and delicious! Staff is very friendly and ready to help. For my friend and I, everything was perfect, very close to where we needed and also reasonably close to tourist sites (we used transport to and from one point and went to all the places we could walk). We will stay again there, for sure :)

United StatesThe free water bottles in the rooms were great, just make sure you ask for them to be replenished on subsequent days so you don't end up without water overnight. Normally I only drink tap water but they wouldn't specify if it was good to drink, citing the free water bottles as a reason not to drink tap water.
This is a stunning property in a beautiful residential neighborhood, 10 minutes walking distance from lots of restaurants, shops, and the park. I'd do a quick map search to make sure the distance to the main tourist sites are a distance you want to walk if that's important to you, but the bus system is great and there's a taxi stand about 30 yards from the front of the hotel. It's one or two buses or trams, depending on the time of day, from Termini, the main train station. We were in a room on the main floor and I couldn't hear other rooms talking but could hear if someone coughed loudly in the next room. Noise from breakfast or the lobby didn't reach our room. It's a stunning place to eat breakfast and the breakfast itself is incredible - options with eggs, smoked salmon, goat cheese, fruit, whole grain toasts and peanut butter. Just sitting on the property is so idyllic as a retreat compared to all the hustle and bustle of Rome.

United StatesThe rooms are in the lower level of the villa (I think the villa's owners live in the upstairs, other area of the villa.) Because of this, it's quite noisy, the walls are thin, so you can hear everything especially when they start the kitchen early in the morning, and you can hear everything from the rooms next door. But it is still a nice place to stay if that doesn't bother you.
It is a beautiful property in a lovely location, walking distance to lots of sights and food. Breakfast is wonderful as well. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is small but comfortable.

JapanThere are very few restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. But of course it's not the hotel's fault!
The breakfast was exceptional, it was the best I could find in Rome and the main reason we chose to stay here. The staff did everything to make our stay comfortable, and the facilities, such as heating, shower pressure/temperature were simply great - everything worked as it should, no problems whatsoever. The neighborhood felt very safe, with lots of embassies (and the policemen guarding them) around the hotel.

GermanyIt is a very small boutique hotel, feels like home. The stuff is extremely polite and give good advice of what to do in the city. The hotel is not in the city centre but still easy to reach by bus o car. The bus station is on the corner. The breakfast was delicious, everyday different pastries and “a la carte” service. Caffe was always available and exquisite 😊😊
