The only problem, which could not be helped, was lots of steep stone steps to reach our rooms. But it was worth it.

No breakfast, but lovely cafés close by. Wonderful old building on several different levels. Beautiful view from terrace in front of our rooms. Helpful staff.

Amazing location and unique setup. After finding some problems in the first room it was promptly changed so we ended up in a nice space. A lot of steps were not a problem for us but worth remembering about it before booking. Beautiful part of the world. Good value for money. Rooms are cosy but big enough if you are planning to spend days outside sightseeing and exploring Cinque Terre.

We were in the room at the very top of the stairs, 89 steps to be exact. So if you have knee or hip problems this is not ideal.

The location was central for waterfront ristorante and lane way access to the grotto.

Welcoming and helpful host. Budget friendly, yet in the centre of town. View from widow was amazing. Be prepared for steps, but well worth it.

As with any central location, there's a level of general street noise coming from restaurants and tourists, along with early morning rubbish and street vacuum-cleaner trucks that keep the town pristine over the summer season. Pack light as there are quite a few stairs and no lift.

Good value, simple accommodation operated by a welcoming family team. A prime location over multiple levels, offering great views of the market square and the harbour. Everything that Porto Venere offers is literally right on the doorstep and the manager makes a great Negroni.

The setup is very simple and could be modernised. On closer inspection and under the bed, it was unfortunately a bit unclean.

To enjoy more the balcony and the view from it, it would have been great to have a kettle or a microwave in the room to warm something up to eat or drink seated at the outdoor table.

Warm welcoming and very nice location. We got a room with a large balcony and a beautiful view. There was no kettle to make our breakfast tea, but the landlord kindly warmed up some water for us.

There was a wall mounted hair dryer in the bathroom but it seemed to be broken. Shower cubicle was very small. Would be good to provide WiFi Password in the rooms.

Very beautiful hotel with lots of steps set into the hill. Didn't have a sea view but that meant it was quieter at night and we still had a great view of Portovenere, so don't worry if there are no rooms with sea view available. The room had AC which was a very welcome surprise! The room was a good size, all things you might need (little lamps for reading, storage, small desk). The bathroom is small but good and clean, the towels were changed over night (although for the environment it would be good to only change towels that are on the floor). Wonderful, very central location. Little focaccia shop/bakery right outside to grab some breakfast.

It's a small hotel with lots of stairs so not for the faint of heart. But trust me SOOOO worth it!
