How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location for exploring all over the city! The apartment was well stocked and comfortable for our family of 6. There was a slight issue when we arrived that was absolutely no fault of the owners and they did the best they could to make it right with exceptional customer service. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

The apartment is well located south of the river away from the noisy crowds and is peacful allowing for a good nights sleep. The apartment is lovely and really well equipped. It even has a map inviting previous guests to indicate from where they have come which was a nice touch. There was even a bottle of wine on the kitchen table! Whilst we did not have a chance to meet the host she was very accessible and helpful. She answered my queries by whatsApp immediately.

There was washer but no dryer. There was a hot drying rack and the towel rack was hot sometimes, but drying clothes was an all day affair.
Very convenient location to train station and sights. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.

The apartment is super comfortable and had everything I needed. I thought it was wonderful to find a bottle of wine as a welcome! The location is close to tourist attractions and walk distance. The host thought of everything for our comfort. When I return to Firenzi I will stay there again

It was perfect for us
It was an absolute wonderful stay in Florence. Best location, amazing warm and cozy,big space with lots useful of amineties. We were also greeted with a good red wine that we highly appreciate. Recommended.

It’s comfortable. It is in a quiet area but only 10 minutes walk to the heart of Florence. There are lots of restaurants close by.

there are mutpitle apartments so make sure you have the picture of the one you are renting.

Some spots on the floor were sticky.
Literally everything. Amazing care and attention to detail. Warm welcome. Instructions for check-in well communicated. Flat iron and feminine hygiene products in bathroom are an outstanding touch. Comfortable bedding and bathroom shower head above expectations.

That road is very narrow and traveling with a baby (stroller) can be scary when the cars fly by.

Geppi’s apt. was a perfect place to stay in Florence. Clean, neat, well-organized with very comfortable bed and pillow. The Host communicates well and is attentive to her guests. Could not ask for a more perfect location. I would stay their again and highly recommend it.

Charming apartment in perfect location in Florence. On a quiet side street but only steps from the Arno and the lively Oltrarno area. Apartment is up a set of quirky old steps but is nicely furnished, comfortable bed (even the sofa bed!), great kitchen, updated bathroom. It was a perfect home base to explore Florence on foot, not to mention it is literally one minute away from some of the best gelato in the city. Gaia was super helpful every step fo the way, no problems at all with check in, check out, nor parking. Smooth sailing, 10/10 will be back.

The location, in the sleepy area of Oltrarno, was fantastic! Many great eateries and cool things to see without the hustle and bustle of the main city – and if you want all that it's only a 10 minute walk away!

Best location with a view of Arno river out the side Window. A short stroll to Santo spirito bridge to watch the sunset and a wine window in the street behind. I loved everything about this apartment and the hosts communication was fantastic! What a wonderful place to experience Florence 😍

The Nearest Parking is few minutes walk, a little hard only rainy day for a group of people with lots luggages. But if not raining its ok :)

Great apartment. Spacious, clean, AC which was great as it was 100 degrees while we were there. Close to everything yet just outside the main city.
