How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The food was very average, we had breakfast which was very simple and lunch which was poor. The whole hotel felt a bit tired and really could do with a makeover.
Great Location. Nice pool area and lovely staff.

Beach front. Breakfast had lots of variety. Good family hotel as provides lots of entertainment for kids.

4 stars do not correspond to the type of accommodation and fare. Rooms are old and very basic and with very few amenities. It was not pleasant to have live music every day until past midnight, specially if you travel with children. It is understandable once in a while to have this sort of loud noise, but the hotel hosted live music every day. Only two lifts for over 100 rooms is not enough. Sometimes at peak hours, it was possible to wait over 10-15 minutes to get the lift.
Good breakfast, close to the beach. Very comfortable to access both beach and swimming pool. Staff very kind and attentive.

If I should say something that they can improve for foreign guests, who are not accustomed to have wife’s in Italy is that sun beds and towels or not included! Even if it says, so, in the booking, sun beds means sun chairs otherwise have to pay an additional 16-22€

Hand sanitisers were not filled. Bath towels were thin.
Location right across road from the beach. Facilities were great and staff were wonderful. Car parking in the shade was fantastic.

Very old hotel, room was big for 4 persons but with old furniture. It needs definitely refurbishment. The doors were wooden and all had started fading out. Very high halls and corridors which reflected the voices of the kids and amplified the noise. Personnel as I said very unfriendly.
From the first moment we noticed that our choice was not the best. A rather old hotel, which in 90s could be a 4 star hotel but not any more. We were unlucky also that some youth soccer teams were in the hotel with dozens of young players being noisy all the day. No respect from them and their coaches but also from the personnel who did not try to bring some order in the hotel. The personnel was quite unfriendly apart from 1 young lady who told us was working for 2 days in the row. In the end by the check out, they added some extra fees like the parking for which we were not informed in advance. And some other 2,90€ which was "the service" as they told us. Very very bad money-value choice. If possible avoid it. The only positive thing is the location.

The staff not very friendly, the rooms definitely need renovations, we were disappointed that due to us feeling uncomfortable in the room and the weather was not great we wanted to leave a day early and we were told we had to the full rate of our stay. Then we were out for 12 hours leaving the sign on our door to clean room and arrived after midnight our room was not made up no towels for shower the next day.

Great location - I've stayed here 9 or 10 times. Beach across the street along w/ the bar and restaurant. Breakfast is great. Staff has always treated me very well.

Where to start. Facilities were outdated, towels dirty and service extremely poor. I won’t be coming back. The service was so poor that both my partner and I decided to stay in a different hotel the last night.
The only good thing about this hotel is the position, easy to leave the hotel!

There were compulsory additional charges for swimming pool/beach (a so called ‘club fee’) added to the room price, with no prior information and no possibility to decline. Overall not worth the cost

The hotel facilities are really old (perhaps from 70's), the staff in some areas is not nice or useful to orientate the guests.
