Very hard to go down next to the pool many stairs not good for senior people. Also at the bar next to the pool not too much of choice in food and Drinks.

It was a bit old and need renovation. The pool has 180 steps too go down to reach it.

The location was good. Very near the center on foot. Three parking was very easy to access, but it wasn't free. It had a nice terrace for breakfast with very nice view.

Some minor things like no tissues or flip-flops in the room. Swimming pool open only till 6:30 PM. In general hotel could use some TLC (tender, love, care).

Location, location, location (close to main street with restaurants and shops and at the same time quiet place). Sea view from the room :) Nice room with good AC and fridge. Rituals cosmetics in bathroom. Good breakfasts on the terrace.

Lacked a little atmosphere - bar was closed when we could have done with a pre dinner afternoon drink. The contents of mini bar was inadequate ( one beer?, a few spirits, a few soft drinks) .

Perfect view, lovely helpful staff , good breakfast, beautiful hotel in the best location. We loved that it had a slight “faded glory days feel.” The concierge advised us about transport and was really helpful.

Breakfast coffee and orange juice were very poor, no hot water in the bathrooms in the evenings. Wifi could be better. Poor coffee making in bedrooms. Poolside staff did not inspire confidence in understanding allergies. Overall the hotel is 'tired'

Staff were helpful and friendly. The pool - particular depth -and poolside facilities were good. Gardens lovely.

The inside is a bit tired and the decoration is inconsistent and dated. My single room was quite small but had view of the gardens and sea.

The hotel location is superb. The building hangs over a cliff and has the most spectacular gardens, pool is large and pool surroundings are spectacular. Pool restaurant offers good and decently priced food. This makes up for the inside of the hotel that could use a renovation

Somewhat limited daytime service in terms of mid morning coffee or mid afternoon bar service. The hotel does not offer lunch or evening meal which is ok but if wet you need to go out. High charge for parking your hire car if arriving by this method 20 euro per day - this should be high lighted in advance of booking. No response to email via booking.com when asked in advance about this. Noisy dogs on other property below - not the hotel’s fault but not good for sleeping guests.

The pool would be difficult to access for some people as there are more than 180 steps down to it and of course then back up.

When weather permitted having breakfast on the balcony with the stunning sea view was perfect.

The 'king' bed was 2 twins pushed together. They were not very comfortable and I kept falling into the Crack between them.

The view was beautiful from our room. The hotel was also in walking distance of the main shops and restaurants. You can tell they have done upgrades in the lobby area. Other areas are still beautiful but a bit dated.

The pool water was too cold. It would have been nice to have a restaurant for dinner as well.

The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and had a great location right at the local bus stop (great for taking trips elsewhere). The staff was very kind and helpful. The view from the room was magnificent. Breakfast was nice. The pool was great, a very nice area with view of the garden and the sea. Overall, we had a great stay, thanks to everyone at the Hotel Miramare!

We liked the outstanding view and the swimming pool. The breakfast was excellent, providing a wide variety of food. Very friendly and welcoming staff at all times. The location was perfect too - a 5 minute walk to the start of town and the possibility of walking down to the beach if you like steps!

On arrival man on reception was not particularly welcoming. When we got to our room we discovered no glasses or water and no wifi info. Having sorted that out we then discovered that the cabinet which should have housed the mini bar was empty. When I went to reception I was told initially that I should have complained earlier. I pointed out that the web site advertises all rooms with mini bar and that after a long journey I am not in the habit of going round the room checking everything. That resulted in an offer to change the room which we accepted. I want to emphasise that every one else we dealt with was charming and helpful - particularly Fillipo who helped us move rooms.

Breakfast was excellent taken on a terrace overlooking the sea. Good selection of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese, charcuterie, fruit, pastries, bread and cake. Lovely coffee and friendly efficient servers. The hotel has a large pool with plenty of sunbeds. Although it did not bother us, the pool is quite a lot below the hotel so there are many steps to get to and from it. In first week of October, sun goes from pool area by 3 o'clock. Our second room (see below) had a great view and a balcony outside. The views were spectacular. The gardens of the hotel are beautifully maintained. There is parking on site which is handy in Taormina. It costs 20 euro per day. The hotel is about 350m from the cable car and 500m from the Porta Messina - one end of the Umberto Corso.
