The outside pool, floating on Lake Como, was an amazing place to relax. Pool area with sand and very comfortable, with great deckchairs and attentive bar service. Interior decoration is amazing and so is the friendliness of the staff. Highly recommend taking one of the hotel boats for a spin on the lake - Carlo gave us VIP treatment.

A friend recommended this hotel to me. Not because she had stayed here but because she had heard wonderful things and had eaten at one of the restaurants. It isn’t a cheap option - this is the high high end of luxury and therefore the high end of the price point. I stayed in a deluxe room with other a lake view. This is the ‘cheapest’ option for a lake view. I would imagine a garden view room is also nice but if you’re at Lake Como then you should definitely make sure you have a lake view room. Don’t expect a big room but what the room lacks in size it makes up for in every little detail. The bathroom is beautifully supplied with toiletries; plentiful towels; fluffy robes and slippers and an excellent hairdryer. The room is tastefully furnished with pastel tones, lots of pillows and a beautiful little balcony which is perfect for watching the sun rise, set or any time of the day to gaze at the lake. The hotel facilities are exceptional. I ate in two of the restaurants - La Terrezza (Michelin starred) and Giacomo di Lago (seafood) I was not disappointed with either option although a three course meal with a glass of wine will be in the region of €150. That being said the food really was excellent. There hotel benefits from three pools: one at the Spa; one in the gardens and one on / in the lake. You will see criticism for the fact that the lake pool requires guests to cross the road but this really isn’t an issue in my opinion with staff on hand to stop traffic at the zebra crossing and help you across. The pool in the lake is amazing - you feel like you’re in the lake and you can also jump into the lake and swim in it if you choose. The sun loungers and faculties at the lake pool and the garden pool are wonderful. The hotel is full of atmosphere and the staff are fabulous. I was travelling solo and they made a point of chatting with me in the morning but respecting my privacy when I wanted to take in the views and the delicious food.

Room way too noisy. The doors are old and they don't guarantee any quiet. You can hear people talking in the hallway like they are in your room

Road noise. Better to book "garden view" on higher floors. Rooms are half the price of lake view. Plenty of lake view from restaurants and bars.

Great location, top notch service and wonderful food. Three difference pools, spa and gym. Excellent choice of both formal and informal dinning (beach and pool). Breakfast over the top.

Unbelievable hotel. The view the staff and the hotel were amazing a true five star hotel. Many Italian hotels wear the 5 star badge but 99% of them are true 4 star. This is a true 5 star make no mistake you get what you pay for!

This hotel was a dream for us and our teenage kids. You feel so special and there’s so much to do at the hotel, 2 swimming pools, everyone was so helpful and accommodating even with our relatives.

I think it comes with the hotel level, but the pricing not of the accommodation but of food and drinks was over the top in some cases.

Pretty much everything. The hotel is located in a great location overseeing the lake and the Bellagio from afar. The swimming pool in the garden is a beautiful place to relax and rejuvenate. The ‘water on water’ swimming pool was a good experience but not for me as it was really shaking every time a boat would go by..but that not a negative necessarily. The staff was absolutely perfect in every sense, from the valet parking to every single one of the waiters and concierge, extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely love to visit this hotel again soon!
