Nothing not to like!

Beautiful property with top-notch professionals and most helpful, friendly service at front desk, valet, bellmen, and in restaurants and terrace bar; a gem in Sicily. The rooms and property are gorgeous with every amenity. The food is wonderful and breakfast brunch included. We felt very safe. So grateful we stayed here and highly recommend. We extended our stay at this property an extra night as we took day trips to other parts of Sicily.

Being used to 5 stars hotels and what they provide guests with we thought that for the price tag Villa Igiea fell a bit short of expectations. The breakfast was relatively poor and lacking inspiration, it was basically the same every day with no special choices or variety, and by the time we would get there around 10ish ( breakfast finishes at 10:30, although they extend it until 11:00) there was very little choice available. Fruit was sliced so thin that it was a real challenge to grab ( makes you think that the hotel is trying to cut corners ). No big variety of freshly squeezed juices, there was only orange and one or two more if I’m not mistaken. No sparkling wine ( something you see now in all upper scale hotels and resorts around the world. The swimming pool was too small for the size of the hotel, with 10/15 people it feels overcrowded. There’s no wet spa ( this is a 700€ + a night hotel with no sauna or jacuzzi ??!!) The turndown again felt a bit on the cheap side, you get two bottles of water, that’s it, no treats or something of that sort.

the service was very attentive and everyone made our stay enjoyable. No ask was too much and we felt really taken care of at all times. The hotel and the surrounding grounds are set in a nice location by the marine. Special mention to Francesco and Alessia in the front desk who were absolutely fantastic. The hotel also had a nice gesture on arrival, knowing that we were celebrating a special occasion. I also liked the concierge service, they were responsive and very efficient.

This experience did not fall short in any respect. It was an outstanding stay. We did not want for anything.

Exceptional stay at most likely the best 5+ star hotel in Sicily. Service was faultless and impeccable for the three nights of our stay. Concierge assisted promptly when my wife needed a doctor - she was seen within the hour. Room and bed was beyond comfortable and large. Excellent en-suite. The bar is gorgeous and the food at Florio, the hotel restaurant, superb. The grounds and pool are even better than they look in the photographs. Something to note, the hotel is located near Mount Pellegrino, and so is about 20 minutes out of the centre of Palermo (this is a good thing!). The hotel runs a shuttle service hourly from 10:00am to 7:00pm to the centre - but seating is limited and you should book your place if you want to ride on the free shuttle. Taxi fare is 25 - 30 Euro each way. Awesome location with great view over the Med and the harbour. Sure there are plenty of much cheaper stays in Sicily, but not in this class of quality and service. If you want the best, this is it.

booking our room last minute meant we were on the ground floor without a view and next to what sounded like the hotel restaurant kitchen, although the room itself was 10/10. The pool is very small for the amount of guests, pool staff had to work very hard to accommodate demanding guests who didn’t have a sun bed.

The hotel is beautiful, an oasis in Palermo. The location is wonderful, the restaurant is excellent and the staff are very helpful and well dressed. The room was lovely with a huge comfortable bed. It is well worth the expense.

we very much enjoyed staying here!! everything about that hotel was outstanding.From the second we walked in the reception to the second we left. immaculate, amazing food and drink and the most wonderful staff. everyone went out of their way to make our stay memorable and it sure was!!! we are looking forward to see everyone next summer.The location is a bit out of town but that didn’t bother us as at all as we just wanted to unwind by the wonderful pool overlooking the sea.

The hotel does not have a beach---but it is in a city, albeit on the coast.

The staff were superb---highly professional and charming. The food and service were first-class. The hotel position is beautiful. The décor and furnishings are brilliant. The Spa and Fitness room were excellent.

Pool is nice but not a lot of sunlounging areas around the pool and you can't order food to your sun lounger, only drinks and chips/peanuts.

Dynamite hotel in a fantastic location with great views of the sea, the port, the city, the mountains. The pool, the food, the service was all top quality! My wife tells me we have to go back! Most luxurious hotel in Palermo, maybe all of Sicily. Wow.
