Little bit out-dated, but for us that was the charm of sitting in this perfect location.

Problems with splashing the WC.

Friendly stuff, clean rooms. Location is fine, near Via Etnea street, not so far from the city center, botanical garden, shops. About 15-20 minutes on foot from the train and bus station. Only cold things for breakfast, but everything was fresh, it was ok. Shampoo and soap in the bathroom.

Room itself was very nice too, only that the fan of AC was broken and it could not spread the wind to entire room and the shower room had no way to stop the water of the shower to spread and the bathroom was covered with water every time we used it.

The location of the hotel was very easy to find as it is located in the centre of the city of Catania, right next to the main street. Breakfast was also very nice to have with croissant and cappuccino (they even made hot chocolate for my friend on the request).

Ac is a little small for the big room. We kept door to window closed but we still had mosquitos.. it would be a good idea to put an electric repellent in the room.

The hotel had charm and I liked the old style. I felt like I was really on vacation when entering because of the dark wood furniture, the style and vibe of the place. Location was Superb, in the middle of the city center. The room was very clean and I could relax feeling comfortable. I could easily have stayed more nights at this hotel. I checked in late at night 2-3am and that was no problem. The breakfast was very simple in real Italian style which fitted the hotel experience. You get a coffee served and crossiants (fresh and good taste) which is important for me. The hotel staff was also very friendly and service minded. For me this was a simple, yet nice and very genuin place to stay if you want a real Italian experience, and not the typical resort hotels in which you find everywhere.

Wonderful old style hotel in superb location. Chosen because of price, value for money, location and in particular ability to check in at midday in person. Lovely to have front desk reception in person instead of impersonal self check in which is increasingly common. Room was very very clean. The house staff are obviously very thorough. Loved breakfast in the room with high ceiling and fresco. Cooling breeze from open balcony with outlook down to Mt Etna in distance. Very kind and helpful young man with some English. Appreciated. Excellent coffee Close walking distance to main historical sites. Wonderful resultants and street vibe. Main shopping street. Perhaps 20 min flat easy walk to train and bus station.

We liked everything, we knew before hand that it was in an old bldg with somehow antique furniture, and we're happy with our choice. Wifi reception isn't all that good and the stupid interface keeps asking you for either your twitter or your facebook credentials to let you log in!

Hotel was in one of via Etnea side steets (one side ends up on via Etnea and the other side to a busy outdoor market, which is a must to see and visit). Via Etnea is the heart of Catania, lot of attractions, shops and cafes. Bus terminal is a 20 min walk away. Eventhough the hotel is old, the room and the whole facility was very clean, breakfast was more than adequate, and enough variety!

i really appreciate the strategic position central near via Etnea and a big market,lots of good restaurants on the corner via gemellaro, comfortable rooms,breackfast included with real good capucino, quiet and clean room , excellent value for your money!!!!!!! frigo provided, really kind staff

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Really top class. Looked after our missing luggage for us when we changed location. Absolutely brilliant team. The location is absolutely brilliant. Would definitely return

Classical hotel which was opened about 50 years ago and is modestly priced. The hotel is well maintained and clean. Buffet breakfast is good. There are many shops and restaurants nearby.

The hotel location was fantastic for walk in the Center also very convenient for bus transportation to the train station and airport. The room was clean and staff very helpful.

Lady at the front desk very cold, asking for payment in the first day, not smiling at all, seemed stressed providing info when asked. Breakfast very very poor not even butter, we asked for it every day, same one type of salami and cheese all days. Street very noisy, difficult to sleep with open windows but beeing in city center it s probably normal in a vibrant city. Difficult to take showers , probl with water temp.

Hotel was in the city center very easy to reach everything. Cafes and panineria on the same street.

I stayed with two children (11 and 1.5) at the hotel for three nights. Pros: - the room is large and elegant - large and comfortable beds - good water pressure - plenty of towels - complete darkening of the room - good central location Minus: Just one - noise from the street. Sometimes I thought it was the noise of a party that would never end, but I'm afraid in Catania it's just the noise of Italian life. We slept very well in spite of the noise, but I want to warn those hoping to enjoy the silence here.
