How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Aircon loudly The neighborhood Not so soundproof - it was a family hosted near us with small children No breakfast No 24h front desk
The facilities: you have all you need, the refrigeration is pretty small It was very clean Downstairs you have some restaurants. 15 min walking to the city center 5 min walking to the train station 7 min walking to the bus station-flixbus I could check out with one night before departure because i had to leave early

Beverages not complete; no milk/creamers for tea in the morning. Tiny elevator for one person only at a time. I think I would have preferred to stay in the first building where reception was located. When I asked for an extension for check out, I was told it would cost an additional €30 which I think was too much.
Location was perfect. I requested a second bed be prepared and it was. Greeted nicely. I was able to leave cases at the reception after checkout.

Price was very high for what offer, in this price not even a basic breakfast or a complimentary water was included. The extra bed fir my son was a very uncomfortable one, the springs were felt through the mattress

The conditionar air starts by it’s self a few times during the night. It makes a lot of noise. You can hear noise from the others room. When a door is closed near your is moving too. The walls are full of scratches and dirt.
The apartments are close to the train station and most of the connecting bus stations. The rooms are quite big, the beds are confortables, they change the towels every day if you wish. The bathroom was clean.

Breakfast was very minimal for 8 💶 per person!
The bulding was in a great location, had elevator and the rooms were clean.

Breakfast very poor. We suffered from going up 4 floors by stairs three times during our stay because someone forgot to close lift door in the other floor. No reception available no lounge. Facilities not same as in pictures.
Only cleaning staff very friendly.

No mirror in the room. Facilities not same as in pictures. Very poor breakfast. No lounge in reception. No reception at all. When we leave the hotel we didn't see anyone in the reception which belong to another hotel. I don't understand fir what given fabulous. Location is normal, is not as much perfect. If someone forgot to close lift door then not usable by other floors. We suffered from going up 4 floors by stairs three times during our stay.
I didn't like anything. But the Cleaning staff very friendly.

Extremely noisy.. at 0600 on the weekend mornings the trash outside is collected, meaning we were not rested. WiFi was almost not working, 2mb/s. Continual slamming door sound throughout the night and day. Two single beds pressed together so we kept falling through the middle. Staff seemed like robots, not much care. Didn’t ask how our stay was because I think they knew the answer..
The room was ok - but that’s all I would say. Cheap furniture and very plain. No art or anything in the room.

Nice interior but you definitely do NOT want a street facing room. There was so much noise and it was just a regular week day and not weekend. With shutters and double windows closed I was woken up several times (people screaming, singing, cars, busses, street cleaning machine, etc.).
The receptionist who checked me in was very friendly and had two great suggestions for where to eat. Both very authentic and good food with lots of locals and not touristy.
