How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only the sofa which turns to a bed was nor very comfortable.
The Host, silvia is very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean whatever you may need, she provides.

It was very clean and comfortable. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the station. There is a 24-hour supermarket nearby, so shopping is convenient. It is only a 15 minute walk to the ferry terminal and the city. In addition, the host, Silvia, was very kind💞She gave us some great recommendations for places to eat. The food there was very good and reasonably priced🤤I would use this hostel again when I come back to Lake Como. I really recommend here!!!

Beautiful property and a great location (<10 mins from Como S. Giovani, and a 10 min walk to the dock so you can go and explore the lake!). Silvia (host) left us gifts as well, amazing host!! She was also available and provided us with recommendations the entire time.

Perfect location, big apartment, very comfortable bed. Landlord was very nice, recommended best places to visit in city and provided iron on request. Recommend

We had an issue with the hot water only being lukewarm, BUT this problem was fixed straight away and the owner came out within 30 mins to fix and was contactable straight away, she was so so apologetic as this was the first time it had happened so we were more than happy with the outcome
Everything about our stay was amazing, the property is beautiful, perfect location, the owner and cleaner were lovely and available at anytime to contact, they left us a lovely welcome gift

This place is super comfortable! Love how warm and clean of this place with two big beds for 4 people. Great location which it's close to the bus station, train station and supermarket. I appreciated a lot the host Silvia always gave quick response to my any questions and clear guidance for check-in. Thank you for making our stay so nice! Highly recommend for this place!

Our host gave us very clear instructions on how to enter the house and the parking garage. She was available on her phone when we had questions and guided us through.

This place is situated in one of the historical buildings of the Vico district. The apartment is a cozy place with high ceilings and a big bed up on the gallery. Kitchen has the basic amenities and there is even a small outside patio with table and chairs. The location is 5 minutes away from the lake and the famous Aero Club Como, walk to the main touristic district is about 20 minutes. The host - Silvia - was very accommodating, friendly and helpful, and she made our stay even more enjoyable.

Excellent location, within walking distance of all the attractions in Como. The WiFi is fast and reliable. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. They provide a helpful video guide for easy check-in. The apartment is beautifully appointed, with a charming garden where you can relax with a glass of wine.

I think the only thing is we didn’t have a window looking at the road/ courtyard etc. but it’s not a problem as the place is amazing
The property was located at a convenient location in the city of Como and the host is an amazing person, we went during our anniversary week and she gifted us a bottle of Italian wine to celebrate

Nice, modern and comfortable appartment close to city center and to Como lake. Super helpful host Silvia was taking care of us all the time, asking if we need anything. She even provided us with parking place, and a bottle of wine was waiting us upon our arrival, Really nice appartment, wish to return there

If you travel with the van make sure it fits in garage. But the host would tell you that. The parking on the street is very nearby.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was very comfy (we stayed one night) and at a great location. The host was very kind and responsive. Recommend!

Apartment was amazing. Had everything we needed and the host was very helpful and very easy to contact. A few weeks of travelling in Europe and this was the best spot by far! Beds were very comfortable and location was perfect!

Owner was a really kind, nice person. We communicated via Whatsup and she was very understanding and kind person as I understood from her kind answers. Fresh flowers, a bottle of wine was waiting on the table which was a very gentle welcoming when we arrived into the house.. House is very very clean. Beds are very comfortable. There are tee and coffee for the Nespresso café machine. We cooked in the kitchen and kitchen equipment was enough for us. When I come to Como once again I definitely prefer this house and I recommend to everyone.
