Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe booked 2 dodomes but weren't near each other so it was hard for the family to be together. I asked if we could have one dodome changed to be closer to the other but was told this couldn't happen. This was disappointing.

AustraliaThe site is quite large, so the walk from the cabin to the main road is steet with stairs so it takes 7 to 8 mins and is a bit tiring
Loved the price. Really competitive for near Sorrento. They also have a courtesy bus that takes you into and back out of town for 1.5 euro. This runs every 30 mins.

IrelandThere was ants in the cabin which is understandable in the forest so wasn’t a major issue. The washer machine didn’t work after putting in the money and charging for the beach on site could be looked at.
Location is excellent for sorrento, the price compared to other places is fantastic the shuttle bus is a great help

NorwayLots of mosquitos, as one would expect. You don’t get regular towels, but some sort of blankets.
Stopped by for two nights moving on to Praiano and the rest of the Amalfi coast. The standard cabin for two persons was just enough for us. Air condition worked perfectly. A bit tight, but considering the facilities on the camping area, it is still good value. Pool area is decent (but you have to wear a swim cap). Beach area (or whatever yo want to call it) is also nice.

AustraliaNo free wifi, however, there was the option to purchase it. No towels were provided. About a 30-40 minute walking distance from the main town area.
We stayed for 3 nights, it was great value for money. We would definitely stay again for a few nights in Sorrento. We were able to get their shuttle bus into the main part of Sorrento for 2 Euros one way. The bus ran every 30 minutes and was very convenient!

United KingdomWe could hear loud music until around midnight each day, and the room is a little small when the bed is out. It’s a little tricky walking anywhere from the site as the road is busy and there’s no pavement.
Beautiful view from our cabin, the campsite is lovely and green with lots of plants and trees. Very convient shuttle bus into town and back, much easier than navigating local bus services.

DenmarkA bit dangerous to walk there from Sorrento since the sidewalk suddenly ends and there are many cars, buses and scooters rushing by. Would have been lovely to have more info about the shuttle bus before we arrived.
Amazing view from our cabin. Good air conditioning! And very nice opportunity with the shuttle bus to the city! You can take it from Parco Ibsen, Piazza Antiche Mura every 30 minutes from Sorrento to the village camp. It costs 1,5€ (bring cash).

United KingdomDo not be fooled by the name. This is not a hostel, it is a campsite. It may have been my fault when I booked the 'room' perhaps I chose the wrong one? But if you are in a couple, would recommend against the dodome- they are like glamping tents, nice just extremely small. Also there were many ants which we had to clear out before we could sleep. Don't swim in the beach if not a great swimmer - this was the case for my partner and his legs got severely cut up on the rocks. I was fine though. Pool is fine but they force you to wear swimming caps in the water. The shop is handy but closed the majority of the afternoon
Amazing view! We could see the coastline from our tent, breathtaking. Not all of them had this view so we were lucky. Lovely restaurant onsite with Italian food. Private beach, but super small not really anywhere to set up unless you pay for loungers. Very small outdoor gym, trx and punching bag. Staff very helpful getting to and back from the tents on golf buggies as campsite is large. Showers are good and clean

New ZealandVery small cabin, not very comfortable beds, also the beach is not suitable for swimming and both pool and beach are only open from 9-6 which was disappointing to us.

United KingdomThe glant I was in had an ant problem, the cleaning lady was very nice and sorted me out however the ants came back that same day. I wasn't very happy when I spoke to the front desk and got told to just deal with it.
The staff were lovely - the young girls om the front desk and by the pool were especially helpful. The location is great you can walk into Sorrento and the shuttle is also very regular.

AustraliaThe on site restaurant gave my girlfriend violent food poisoning. I would avoid the seafood there at all costs.
It’s great affordable accommodation right on the cliffs overlooking Sorrento. Ideal location for exploring both the Amalfi Coast and Capri. If you’re happy to rough it out and go camping it’s a well worth it.
