How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Location was just off main street. We have a large amazing 3 bed room. Lovely view of main street which was nice as sun shone into our room first thing in the morning. We could partly see Ortiga in the distance. We had two huge French balconies. Staff were really nice and lovely, spoke English and helped us with travelling to our next destination. Hotel location wasn't far from restaurants and cafes. Bus station was 10-15min walk. Access to hotel after hours is straight forward and easy.

The location is perfect and staff is very kind. Also they have posable parking place, because traffic is very bad. Very good choice.

The lift only goes part way up floors, so poor staff had to help lug up suitcase. The lift also played up unexpectedly and doors woukd bot open and no power for about 5 minutes. Also at breakfast one female staff member got very cranky at patrons, she seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people at the same time. Fortunately another staff member came along and was calmer and more professional.
Good location for train and bus travel The breakfast was really good in that it was not just a sweet Italian styled typical breakfast . Friendly check in staff. Linked to a restaurant a few meters away that served a nice lunch and got a discount as hotel patron. Overall would stay again for an overnight stay.

There is heavy perfume smelling in the room. It’s too much for us.
Location is between the railway station and the Otigar. The room space is comfortable.

A great little hotel to stay while in Syracuse. Very close to Ortigia, shops, and restaurants. Possibility to park your car just next to the hotel (visited in January). Possibility to warm up the room, even when it was quite cold outside. You can see a bit of sea from the room, which is a plus! A simple breakfast included :) We enjoyed our time in the hotel, and would recommend it.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Only a few minutes walk from Ortigia.

Lift doesn't go up to the top floor. While this was inconvenient after a tiring day's walking, the hotel manager did carry our suitcase up on the first day, so no problem there.

They didn't have any smoking rooms or rooms with balconies.
Breakfast was good for what you pay. Location is OK close to the entrance of Ortigia. Close by there is ample parking spaces if you rent a car

Rooms which are lockated facing the main road are a little bit noisy.
The staff were very helpful and the room is cleaned every day. Breakfast is very good. Hotel is in the central of Syracuse and Ortega is only 5 to 10 mins away.

Great location, walking distance to all attractions. Parking just outside of the hotel. Very good breakfast! Hotel staff very accommodating and friendly.

Some of the other guests were extremely noisy. No staff in the hotel late on a night. Very small breakfast area. The plaster was coming off the wall in places due to what was probably a leak.
Lovely, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was OK but I only ate there on the first morning. The room was large and very clean. Free water in the fridge. Most comfortable bed I've had in a hotel for a while!

I haven’t had breakfast there as I’m allergic to dairy and it looked all with dairy. The hotel was very nice otherwise. Located close to Ortigia. Clean and comfortable. Staff friendly. Fast Wi-Fi. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The wifi wasn't great, but from what I could tell, the staff are working to improve it.
The room was very comfortable and clean, the aircon was new and very quiet, and no noise intruded from other rooms or the street outside. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was generous. Another plus was the proximity to both the bus station and the train station.

I think there’s a plumbing issue. Even after Bathroom’s being cleaned, they’re still was a urine smell. Our balcony was wild in, so we had absolutely no view or breeze from outside.

Bed was too hard for us, a bit uncomfortable. We were also woken up every morning due to loud conversations between the staff.
Spacious and clean room with a traditional italian balcony. Location js good for going around siracusa and ortigia.
