Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

KazakhstanNon soundproof, the room was in a separate building (like apartment) probably the initial apartment was divided in two rooms and served as hotel rooms now. The issue of soundproof is that we heard bathroom sounds from other room. The sound was like someone use out bathroom. Voices are also clearly heard.
Small kitchen with microwave and separate kitchen sink in our room. Every day cleaning! 24/7 desk. Breakfast for additional 10 euro charge has good variety for me like baking, flakes, yogurts, fruits and etc

PolandThere was air conditioning in the room, but it didn't work at all, so it was hot in the room, and there was no remote control or controller on the wall. Fully paid parking lots (not much, but paid, fortunately only on working days) and no free parking spaces, residential area. At breakfast, there was no information about allergens in the products, and at check-out we were charged additional municipal taxes that were not mentioned before.
Italy is a beautiful country and with it Italian culture. The hotel looks like an ordinary building from the outside, but it is beautiful inside. Nearby there is a beautiful park, metro and a long street with several night shops and fast food bars. In the hotel, many historical photos decorate the walls in the lobby and the colors are wonderful. My girlfriend and I had a room on the ground floor, if I remember correctly it was number 11 (venti in Italian). The room wasn't big, but it was enough to get a good night's sleep, although we had to close the window at night because the noise from outside didn't let us sleep. The bathroom is large with a toilet, bidet, wide shower and a large washbasin. Very nice and helpful service speaking good in english (we got a map of the city with the most important attractions and advice to leave the car here and use the metro nearby), very good and cheap drinks until 10 p.m. (Aperol Spritz for €5), delicious buffet breakfast, clean, calmly and safely. Finally, I would like to add that I would like to thank the hotel staff for their quick response and quick help, as my girlfriend is allergic to nuts and, as it turned out, they were in the pesto in the omelette. Everything ended well, but it could have been tragic. Always ask the staff if there are any allergens in a given product.

United StatesThe individual beds are too narrow and short for a person over 180cm tall and athletic build. However, I saw it is something common in Italy, at other hotels.
Good location, just a few minutes walking to the underground station, with many restaurants and a very practical supermarket nearby. The property is kept clean, our room was very big and quiet. The staff was friendly and they were willing to keep our luggage in a safe place after the checkout, until late in the evening when we had our flight scheduled.

Czech RepublicThe absolutely worst what can be in hotel - isolation between rooms. You really hear everything what is going next room, up room and on the hall. Our Saturday night was not good and was noisy - there was not any party or something like that, but just you can hear everything. Sunday night was OK (less people in hotel). Also we had a window to the street then you cannot open it for fresh air. The bed was very soft, but this can be personal preference. Empty minibar. A little higher price in relation to the quality.
Good location - close to subway station, very friendly staff, reception 24/7. The room was small, but warm and clean. Shower was also small, but sufficient and clean.
