How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Take the breakfast outside the morning could be better with the weather like the few days past The shower was not very clean, it was clogged, the water was not draining

No response to customer when you request for example I reported the safe was not working so I was unable to keep my money and value things in the room At least 3 times informed them but no response

Tiny and old room. The beds really need an upgrade. Two very narrow ones, and one of them wasn't even even (i.e., flat/level).

The “king bed” was two twins pushed together and they were very uncomfortable. There was no fitted sheets, no counter space and the shower got the entire bathroom floor wet whenever used due to the design
The location is great the breakfast is cute and the rooftop area was nice.

Rooms are very old and my room was a handicap bathroom so there was no doors and water was everywhere

Mr Grandparents and parents have been staying at the The hotel Torino since the 1090400s and possibly before so this has always for nostalgic reasons been my first choice of Hotel to stay at in Rome over the years, So a little disappointed not to get a better room.
Breakfast good . Location very good. Room a little sparse but OK for one night stays.

The beds were not comfortable. The sheets seemed extremely outdated and the overall cleanliness was not good. I found some hairs on the floor at arrival. Most if not ALL of the decor needs to be updated. Seems like the room has not changed since the 1930's.
The continental breakfast was a huge plus and a money saver.

Tub and restrooms cleaned/maintained better. Chalk/grout around tub needs to be replaced, has presence of mildew. Better information and directions for breakfast. We never did locate it. Even use of your lovely coffee bar!
The best and only pleasant clerk at the desk was Mario. At our check-in and after in the recovery of our passports. His interactions with police and cab driver to assist us was Outstanding! Seeing him again would be worth the trip to return to this hotel!

Too much points need to be like a real 4 stars hotel!
Only one personal work at the night is very kind but another are so horrible when they meet their guests.

The Air Conditioner was extremely weak for how incredibly hot it was outside. I shouldn’t be sweating in my sleep. One of the evening staff members was a little rude and judgmental when my friend came to visit.
The distance from the Train station was very close perfect location and very walkable. The room was decent mattresses wasn’t the most comfortable but it got the job done.

Cleaning needs to be definitely improved, everything is beige in the room. Smoking allowed during breakfast on roof top- it ruined the best feature of this hotel

My room was dark, and lowered my mood. There was constant noise from either in or outside, sounded like bags of glass bottles being thrown in a dumpster. Continued noise of what sounded like building repairs in the hotel.
