How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It doesn’t have a lot of facilities, but they do have breakfast.
Wonderful location and the apartments are large and sparkling. Clean with a view. I love the big shower and bathroom. They have very convenient parking next to the hotel. And you really can’t get a better location.

Our initial room has a strange smell we had to change rooms. The entrance to the hotel is a little bit confusing and my wife her head on the glass window.

Not much privacy with the toilet being frosted glass. Breakfast wasn’t that good.
Lovely hotel, great location and rooms were massive. They gave us a free upgrade and was great! Lovely room and right by the centre of town.

It’s close to the Center so you have lots of night time noise. And we really like to have coffee in the room so that was missed.
We loved the location. The staff were very helpful with an early check in. The Breakfast room was fantastic.

-We had the annex room, next to the hotel. The room was fine but we were disturbed by noisy people in the apartment above, until 2:00 am. -Breakfast was a bit limited. No fresh juices. - A bit expensive / not great value for money.

Great location for the old town.a few minutes walk. Spacious apartment perfect for a family of five. Great balcony views. Helpful staff and reasonable parking.we were able to park on the garage at the hotel and leave the car till lunchtime next day.

The breakfast service is OK. It is served in a dark room at floor -1. Not the best but functional.
The room was nice, clean and recently renovated. The location is simple the best, walking distance to the Arena and they have parking available right next to the property.

There’s no parking, even the parking that belongs to the hotel is not free (costs 25 euros a day). The hotel has 2 separate buildings and you have to transfer from one building to the other through the 3rd floor which was extremely uncomfortable with luggage and a stroller, would have been nice if it were mentioned somewhere it was an unpleasant surprise… The elevators are very small, barely fit 2 suitcases in the elevator, or an adult with a stroller, so most of the time one person used it with the stroller and the rest of the family used the stairs.
Great location, the apartment is spacious and the bathroom is extremely comfortable Breakfast was decent and only cost us 5 euros per adult (kids were free)

Not so clean. Also the parking costs 17 euro per day. There is no free parking.
Great location, near the arena and the pedestrian road.

The garage is a bit tight if you have a large car, but there is other parking available right in front of the hotel or around the corner in one of the public parking garages.
Very good location, very friendly staff and an awesome balcony. Two good bars right in front of the hotel.

Spent first night in room with 2 beds pushed together which wasn't comfortable so moved rooms which then was better but room wasn't as good and balcony wasn't as good as our first room was and also wasn't a chair on the balcony in the 2nd room but overall we did have a nice stay and would still recommend the hotel and would stay again providing put in the correct room situation from the start.
Location was good, staff were helpful and room was good size.
