How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We don't like the waiter my partner ask a cup of coffee and a cup of tea he said he don't speak English and he doesn't understand English. Very disappointing 😞 I'm sure they got English people check in on there hotel.
Location is good the young guy in front desk really good .He's so helpful.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was nice and cosy and also gave a nice vintage feel. Good restaurants were close by as well as a cafe. Staff were helpful.

No Air Conditioning and Bed was slightly uncomfortable.
The Staff was Exceptional. Very Courteous and Polite. Great Breakfast with Pleasant Staff as well. Little Walk to Cathedral and Most Attractions.

The first night was cold and there were no extra blaankets in the room.
The location is excellent, in the city, yet not downtown, and not too noisy. The hotel is in a calm area of the city for people who prefer to have more relaxed mornings and evenings. The room is small but has everything you need. It is cleaned daily. Breakfast is excellent, the best I have seen in 4-star hotels in Italy. The staff is excellent, always there to answer any question guests may have,

I appreciated less: the small size of the room, the entrance staircase to the lift, the shower and the quality of the soap in the room.
I really appreciated the kindness of the staff, the generous breakfast served in the elegant bar room, the quietness of the room and the central location of the building

At the reception people were friendly. That cannot be said of the people in the breakfast room, probably due to a lack of staff.
The room was small but okay. Good beds. Quite large variety of breakfast. Location in a quiet street in a nice neighboorhood with several affordable restaurants, and well connected with the city center on foot or by tram.

Room was warm. No aircon and mosquitoes came through open windows. However electronic repellent was provided and worked.
Room was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Room was quiet.

Rooms could use a refresh, some kind of additional sound isolation would be nice, as the walls are a bit thin, also the wallpaper was slightly damaged in our room.
The front desk staff, Giorgio, was very very helpful in helping us plan our first stay in Milan. Breakfast included freshly cut Parma ham, which was a nice addition. The staff's attentiveness made for a pleasant stay. We would definitely consider returning in the future.

It was cold during our stay in Milan. Unfortunately, we couldn’t adjust the central heating to make the room warmer. It seemed like the heating was already setup to turn on at certain times only.
Perfect location, great amenities, enough room space, great staff, comfortable bed. Staff were also really nice and very accommodating as they allowed us to check in early before the actual check in time.

The rooms were smaller than expected, but it felt rather cosy.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Especially Giorgio, who was very friendly and professional. The location is great, very close to the sightseeings of the town.

Very small room even for one person. The hotel is quite old. Breakfast is very limited. The price for such a room is incredibly high.
The only advantage is the location

Very old hotel, old furniture, wall not very clear, old furniture! In description they had coffee machines, in reality no coffee machines at all in our room.
Location was perfect! It is a nice and safe place even if you arrive late! Also you have place were to eat around the hotel! Good breakfast!

Could hear people in other rooms talking and using the bathroom. AC wasn’t working during our stay. Front desk said that this is regulation.

Only 1 thing and it didn't change our experience and our appreciation for the hard working people of this hotel. The hair dryer was falling apart literally in my hands.
The staff is great! Very knowledgeable and helpful, responsive to all requests and concerns. Absolutely amazing team. We liked our breakfast too with variety of food and drinks. Nice and pleasant experience. It will only take you 10-15 minutes by bus to get to Milano Duomo or you can walk to for about 35-40 minutes. We took a tram from Milano Centrale to the hotel, and it wasn't bad only 30 min. Also, there are some stores in that area and a big mall close by.
