How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The shower pressure is pore, that’s only inconvenience.
Everything was nice, comfortable and clean. Location is wonderful. The owner and his wife was super friendly, gave us lots of recommendations where to eat ant visit.

The host was amazing and so helpful with what to do, where to eat etc. they also allowed us to check in early and had free water available for us. The bed was super comfortable (the best we’ve had our whole trip). In the morning they allowed us to leave our bags and even made us a coffee before we left! Would highly recommend staying here.

I don't like to carry cash with me so I would suggest to accept credit/depit cards. And I would suggest more variety for the breakfast (there was only some croissants from the supermarket).
Easy to park near the apartment. Walking distance to Ortigia. The room was clean. And the host was friendly and gave us some info about Siracusa.

The hosts were friendly and nice. We were given coffee and cornetti as a welcome gift when the woman introduced us to our room. She also provided me with a map and told me what to see and where to go in Syracuse. This was quite useful. We requested to leave our luggage on the final day because we wanted to travel to Noto, however, our bus left at roughly 13 o'clock, and the hosts were quite kind. Since it was raining when we went to pick up our luggage outside, the man there offered to drive us to the bus stop. This was very polite. Thank you again. This location is highly recommended. Everything was wonderful.

Great for staying in Siracusa without having to deal with Ortigia traffic and pedestrain area. We travelled by car with 3 large luggages. Parking on the road was possible 50m from the B&B. Walking to Ortigia is just 5/10 minutes. Perfect location. Room was spacious and comfortable enough. Recommended.

A little difficult to find and parking can be competitive!
Location was perfect between Ortiga and the archealogical park. Room was clean, coffee was great and owners super helpful. Aircon and sound proofing also great Amazing value.

The location is perfect for exploring Syracusa, close to Ortiga and to city. The parking is available and free on the street. The owner give us the map and has exlain to us where to go and what ti see. Big room, mini fridge, coffee, water and even croassant... Recomend this place!

No any sign outside the building and spent a lot of time to find the place. The google maps say it is here, but can't see anything. Finally find the place on the door label with hand writing in size of 1 cm.
Good enough for overnight. Room is big enough.

The host is excellent, lots of help and advice. Easily contactable. We did a very very early check in which really suited us. Breakfast was outstanding each day. The location is perfect, the parking easily manageable. Everything is walkable. We loved our stay. Syracuse is for romance. We will be back

Location at high traffic road. Bed sheet too small.
Soundproof windows worked well but are really needed due to location at high traffic road. Public free parking nearby. Several breafast options. Friendly and helpful staff.

The hosts are very nice, give a lot of information and make you feel very welcome. The room has everything; a great bed, spacious shower and the windows keep all noise from the street out.

Nice location to explore Siracusa and Ortigia. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. All covid measures were fully respected. Despite being on a busy street the room was quiet at night.

We drove around the block 3 times and didn’t realize we had to call the owner to show us where to Park and enter.
Owners were very friendly, informative and helpful.
