Had a wonderful stay in Varenna. Alfina goes out of her way to ensure you are well looked after and have everything that you need, she is beyond generous. The apartment is in a great location and easily accessible to the main village, train and ferry. It was nice coming home to the apartment after a day exploring and having the comfort of a well appointed property that allows you space to relax and unwind at the end of each day. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to others.

We loved the location and property, but especially loved the extra touches that made us feel so welcome, including chilled Prosecco waiting for us, and provisions and snacks for breakfast and lunch. We can't say enough nice things about this location - roomy with 2 bathrooms, and just a short walk to the ferry, train station and central Varenna while being just outside the busy areas.

Nothing, everything exceeded our expectations.

The host Alfina was very accommodating and welcomed us with local meats and cheese, wine, and champagne. The location was close to town but felt more calm and quiet, close to a rock beach.

Everything was splendid! We took the short cut stairs down from the train station and was pleasantly surprised to see Alfina waiting for us out front! The apartment was spacious for 3 girls and it had everything you would need. To top it off, there was wine and breakfast too. The 2 bathrooms were also very well equipped. And everything so clean. If you feel like cooking, there is a grocery store just a short walk away. We were actually not planning to cook but the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed. Dinner turned out to be a super idea, dishwasher took care of the cleaning up. Alfina leaves the ferry timetables near the door. Going to Bellagio or anywhere else on the lake is a breeze. If you are going far, be sure to check that you have a ferry coming back. We totally recommend Lake Como and especially this apartment in this beautiful town! Wished we had a few more days there.

The dog at the property did bark a fair bit, both during the day and at night. We couldn’t prepay for the accomodation and had to pay cash on the day of our stay (money withdrawn from the local atm). This resulted in having to pay an extra $150 due to the conversion rate provided by Booking.com

Very clean and spacious property. House was full of food and wine on our arrival, which made it feel very homely. Alfina also dropped us at the train station on our departure, which was a nice final touch.

She had great food for us on arrival. Meat,cheese,bread, pastries, snacks, yogurt, butter, and more. It was great because we arrived later than expected in the rain and cold and didn’t have to go out to eat. I contacted her on WhatsApp and she was right there.

Everything was good.

The host Alfina was very helpful and lovely. She greeted us with her beautiful smile. The apartment was very clean and had all the essential amenities. There were cornflakes, fruits, yoghurts, ham, breads included within the price. Alfina had left a bottle of wine for us and gave us her Sicilian pistachio pastries as well. It was delicious. The location was ideal. It was just about 10 mins walk from the train station if you are taking the main road. There is a shortcut way from the train station as well which is just about 5 mins walk but it has lots of stairs so if you are travelling with suitcases and in dark, I would recommend taking the main street route. To take the shortcut way, there is a small alleyway on the right, just after walking about 25 metres out of the train station on the first bend to the left. You will then come across the stairs. Take the stairs down the main road. And the apartment building is just a couple of houses down on the right side.

This place felt like a home away from home. After a long trip, we were warmly welcomed with a variety of snacks, beverages, and even wine. The terrace was truly amazing, and the owner was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure her guests' comfort. The cleanliness and comfort of the place added to the overall wonderful experience.

We were concerned about a dog barking at night but it was quiet by 9:30.

Such a wonderfully stocked & equipped apartment! She has thought of EVERYTHING. It was really great to have a washer & dryer. That allowed us to not check luggage. The unit was spotless.

The property is first class all the way! Alfina took care of every little detail and went above and beyond making our stay comfortable. Easy walk to Ferry and sights in Varenna. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Highly, highly recommend!

The road it is on gets a little busy with traffic…but it’s nothing overwhelming.

The apartment was very clean with an adorable garden. The hosts were very nice and accommodating! We really appreciated their attention to the details such as having wine and cheese waiting for us on our arrival.
