Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomTravel by bus can be tricky. We went there in May during the "winter" schedule, so there were not many buses to Amalfi per day. We still loved the location <3 Skooter or car would be perfect to move from one place to another, but I would be scared to drive on the narrow and curvy spaghetti roads :D
We had an amazing view from the bedroom. Our host was excellent and helped us with very useful tips. The downstairs pizza place was great! We loved the staff, they also helped us a lot. Location is beautiful but quite difficult to get to places. We didn't have a car so had to rely on the bus which was tricky at times. We enjoyed the countryside life and walks to San Lazzaro.

GreeceIf you are fine with the distance of the main attractions in the area ,there is nothing that I didn't like.
Very big and clean house . It can support up to 5 people for sure.Due to our schedule we did self check in and check out without any problem. The house is located in a village close to Amalfi, by car around 40 min . It's a very good option if you want to visit Amalfi and Positano, but you have to consider that it takes around 25 min to meet the crossroad of the coastal road.Beside the house there is a pizza trattoria one of the best in town. Generally in the village and in the near village St.Lazzaro there are many restaurants with pretty good food in excellent prices . I suggest not to eat in amalfi or Positano because everything is overated and below average in quality. From the other side you can be in Sorrento in about 50 min ,and in Naples in an hour so in general it's a very decent option due to the location the cost and the calmness of the village .If you don't have a car a bus stop is outside of the house that connects amalfi and positano ,so you don't have to pay the expensive parking there .

NetherlandsClean, big, good amenities and everything in perfect shape. There is also a nice sized balcony perfectly directed to enjoy the sun until late in the evening. Ferdinando the host is very kind and helpful. The apartment is directly in front of the bus stop, perfect distance to hike Path of the Gods or jump in a bus to visit Amalfi, Positano or even Pompei.

SerbiaThe apartment is clean and spacious. It is well located for visiting Amalfi, Positano, Path of the Gods... Wi-fi works great. The view from the terrace is wonderful. Drinks and snacks were waiting for us in the apartment. Breakfast is sweet Italian and is served in the restaurant below. The host, Ferdinando, is very kind and helpful. He gave us very useful information. Thank you Ferdinando for everything. Free, secure parking is across the street. The bus stop is in front of the building and has a good connection to Amalfi.

CanadaPrepare to fight for your place in the bus if you plan on going to the coastline! We recommend leaving early and returning early as people will literally stampede to get in the bus in the late afternoon (it doesn’t depart very often). But don’t let this keep you away from this amazing property, just plan accordingly or rent a scooter!
Impeccably clean, spacious room with high ceilings (we felt like royalty), cute balcony with nice view, our host Ferdinando was so helpful, amazing snacks provided, enjoyable breakfast included (pastries and coffee) at the little café downstairs which is a pizzeria for the rest of the day with cheap and delicious food served by very kind people, property located in front of the bus station. Highly recommend this place!

United StatesWe liked it all!
We stayed here one night while driving through Italy. We did not meet the host but he was very easy to communicate with online (Whatsapp). He made sure we had everything we needed. We don't speak Italian but his neighbors we're very helpful getting the keys for me. Parking was good, in a lot across the street. It was a large apartment with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. We had our choice of bedrooms so we took the first room on the right with a nice (distant) view all the way to the Amalfi coast. Our drive to the town, off of the Amalfi Coast, was a racecar driver's dream. I'm sure there are easier, more direct ways to get there, but we chose that route. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The snacks (included) were a welcomed treat since we got in late and didn't feel like going out for dinner. We picked up yogurt and a couple of other things at a minimarket on the way in. We rented through Booking.com and got a discount probably because we booked late the same day. The a/c worked great. The included breakfast was coffee and danish at the pizzeria/bar next door (same people who helped me when we arrived).
