Crazy good location, beautiful scenery, nice design and very clean.

The house itself is very far from the bus stop and the nearest supermarket. We thought that we could manage without a car, using public transportation to get to the city center, but immediately realized that this is not possible. Just the distance from the house to the gate was too much. We ended up finding the nearest car rental and got a car. We used the car to drive to the nearest bus stop and then via the bus to the city. The trash bins are also near the gate so it's quite a walk from the house. Our apartment was on the second floor which made it difficult for my parents who are pensioners. I was also surprised that there was no regular water kettle in the flat so to drink tea we boiled water on the hot plate. Maybe we were spoiled by our apartment in Milan where we stayed before coming here, and where we had soap, some toilet paper and little shampoo bottles, but here there was none of that. In addition, upon checkout we had to pay 120 EU "tourist tax" of which we were not aware beforehand.

The house is very big and the location is remote from the city craziness. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. The pool outside was great for relaxing and there's a grill for BBQ.

The location was excellent. Away from the tourists downtown nestled in a suite dating back to the 16th Century. Simon met us and answered all of our questions.

It was very cold in the apartment. The walls were damp, the house smelled very strongly of soot.

Good location. The private parking place was very good where I could safely leave the car there. The dishwasher made cleaning up easy. The host was very kind and helpful.

Very little local shops and restaurants/cafes located near property. A car would be necessary if you don’t want to walk the 1 km distance to the nearby train which connects to the centre of Florence (10 min train ride).

At night, the area outside seems a bit creepy Lots of mosquitoes (beginning of October) Location is for the ones who want to use a car. Otherwise, it is very inconvenient. You have to drive in order to get to the closest supermarket, cafe, or any other facilities. There is no food at the facility at all.

Very unique accommodations, great toscan design, has a pool (though we somehow missed it and never had the time to use it). We had a good time because we had a car and had no problem moving anywhere we wanted, as the area was a bit isolated.

Simone was great host! Apartment has everything that it needed and host was there to answer on all of our questions. House is fantastic and whole complex is excellent for vacation trip and base to see whole Tuscany. I will come back here for sure.

I knew from reviews to buy coffee before we arrived but one or two pods for the coffee machine on check-in would have been appreciated.

This was a lovely place to stay, just outside of the city. We spent our days in the historic part of Florence but it was great to be able to appreciate some of the beautiful Tuscan countryside in the morning and evenings. The bus into and out of the city was really easy and cheap. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who isn't keen on staying in the busy part of the city and who doesn't mind using public transport/is willing to hire a car. The accommodation itself had everything we needed and our host was very communicative.

It was so peaceful, and the facilities were great. Fabulous pool to relax in after sightseeing. 1km walk to the local train station and a few stops to Florence S.M.Novella station

The apartment was lovely and the sofa bed was good for our son but the ‘double bed’, which is actually two single beds securely connected was too hard. No mattresses on wooden Sun loungers so very uncomfortable to relax on. We were asked to separate all waste but only one bin in the entire apartment, so that was not practical. Toilet rolls were not included in the cost of the apartment. Very little helpful information in the apartment. No information about how to use the induction hob, no written explanation of if/when linen would be changed, or that toilet rolls weren’t supplied. No correct information about what times the pool could be used. We were told 8am - 8.30pm but in reality the pool was never manned so it didn’t really matter when it was used. Host didn’t explain that he preferred being to be contacted using WhatsApp rather than text. No time slot was given to say when host was available for questions and then he seemed to get stressed if questions were asked. No information was left about any local restaurants etc. Host was friendly some of the time and then very abrupt and rude at others without taking responsibility for the lack of information provided.

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful location. It was definitely way over our expectations. Simone was really great. Easy to get hold of and very friendly and very helpful. Going to recommend to all my friends and family to stay here. Was such a treat to stay in the tuscany countryside, as well as being so close and easy to get to the centre of Florence by bus or taxi if you don't have a car.

very friendly host and excellent stay. A perfect place for a getaway holiday. A perfect place to get in the touch with fresh air of Tuscany. Transportation is convinced, 10mins of train to get to main station of Florence, and bus stop is just 15mina of walk( we walk slowly XD).

The villa is lovely & is in great location (15 min by car to central Florence). We have been staying in il Frantoio for 10 years already, each time changing the rooms to have a different experience each stay. The rooms are spacious & have a great antique style to them. Definitely recommend, especially during May/June!

Maybe the kitchen could done with having a kettle but it did have 3 different coffee makers so you cannot really complain!

Superb location for exploring the hills around Tuscany. Waking up to bird song instead of traffic was really nice. The accommodation is a great location for children to play. The rooms were very clean and the host is helpful and friendly.
