Tortora (centro storico) is worth a visit and Giardino de Julia is an excellent option. Hosts who make us feel at home.

The room is comfortable, clean and very well maintained. The breakfast is excellent, with quality local products and very varied. I recommend the cappuccino, wonderful! Biagio and his wife are lovely hosts, very helpful.

Traveling from the UK the location was a little paradise, a small village called Tortora between green mountains and the seaside of Maratea or Praia a Mare at only 10 minutes driving. Room was comfortable, with AC included. Extremely clean, spotless. Breakfast was amazing we had fresh croissants, pastries, local jams and fresh figs from the garden tree every morning, coffee or cappuccino brewed at the moment by The host. Best part of this stay was the host, Biagio that speaks perfect English and Spanish and was the nicest host ever met. He gave us indication on restaurants, local shops, beaches and even managed to reserve a private lido in one of the best beaches on the Mediterranean, called La Secca, in Maratea. Biagio was extremely attentive and also kind, he offered us wine, cheese and local delicacies one evening. Will go back next year! Xx
