How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing at all to dislike about the accommodation. Would definitely recommend. Finished to excellent standards and free breakfast tray and refreshments upon arrival made for that special stay xx
Excellent apartment, superbly equipped with coffee machine, dishwasher, TV in each bedroom. Excellent WiFi. Pool and grounds were lovely, we were able to sit outside under gazebo right outside the apartment for alfresco dining. Almost felt like we had own villa with private pool as only 3 apartments for shared facilities so often had pool to ourselves.

What an amazing find this was! We had a car which makes this place perfect (I would probably have found it difficult without a car) The apartment was HUGE and so well equipped you could live there. It was like a resort with a common area for the pool with pool lounges and showers etc. It was so reasonably priced too.

Great location. It’s in a smaller village but the village had everything you would need. A bar, a supermarket, pharmacy, fruit and vegetable shop and an Enoteca and many other restaurants nearby. The streets are narrow and it was easy to miss our street the first few times. It’s right near a sign saying San Leonardo. You are so close to the salt pans of Marsala. A very easy drive or walk. Go at sunset you will be rewarded with amazing views. Also we went to Erice one day which is only 30 mins away and Segesta was about a hour and a half. Both worth a visit. The B&B has a well equipped kitchen and has a washing machine. Everything was spotless and new and clean. We have to give it a 10/10! It’s the best B&B we have stayed in and we have been travelling from north to south Italy for the last 5 weeks. The pool is fresh and clean and we enjoyed a swim after a hot day sightseeing. Stay here! You will love it.

Great apartment, very clean and comfy. Well-kept garden with green gras and beautiful flowers. Very clean pool, which was cleaned every night.

The place is very nice and comfortable. Besides, it's closes to Salines Marsala, a beautiful landscape with special restaurants with terraces such as https://instagram.com/peola_stagnone?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== And we'd like to point out the kindness of Simone, the person in charge.

That we hadn’t booked for longer! Kitchen was really well equipped but we could have done with a kitchen knife and couldn’t find a chopping board or bread board - very minor
Spotlessly clean, modern and seemed very new - spacious kitchen, bathroom & large bedroom with comfortable bed and AC (also in kitchen/ lounge area - all well decorated and kitchen well equipped - comfortable inside sitting area and dining table - private outside pool area at rear stunning with bathrooms & shower. made booking at quite short notice to be near the airport for a lunchtime flight and it’s less than a 10 minute drive. Good that checkout is 11am if needed. The bathroom in apartment was a wet room with full disability access. All 3 apartments are ground level. Wouldn’t hesitate to return as very good location for Trapani, Marsala & airport - super friendly host with easy communication via WhatsApp

Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect. Simone, along with his family, is a great host. The villa is brand new; the rooms are comfy, clean, and spacious. Breakfast is abundant and varied. Last but not least, the pool is fantastic. We enjoyed spending time there during the afternoon before our aperitivo at the saline. Wonderful stay!

Everything was perfect.
The host was very kind. The quality of the room and the house was outstanding. Proper continental breakfast with fresh meat, cheeseand fruits. The host was welcoming, availaible and very helpfull.

We loved the property and had two separate sleeping rooms for us and our children. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had, the pool was lovely and relaxing. The hosts were wonderful.
