How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great pool in a nice, peaceful garden. Our host, Sandro Fantastico ;-) was extremely kind, full with useful hints. He did help us a lot.

I had a stay at this guest house, and it was a beautiful place with a unique shaped pool that added a touch of humor to the experience. The location was convenient, easy to reach by car, and allowed for easy access to Alghero. Sandro, the host, was very friendly, although at times, his enthusiasm could be a bit overwhelming. Nonetheless, he was always ready to help and provide useful information about the area. The kitchenette was quite simple, which was expected, but the main drawback was the lack of supplies to do the dishes afterwards. It would have been more convenient if there were enough cleaning materials available.

A great place! Quiet and relaxt and in a few minutes you're in the nice and lively city Alghero. Sandro and Monica are great hosts! They really do everything to give you a good time and feel you at home. Sandro gave us a lot of great tips for nice (snorkling) beaches, trips, good restaurants and fantastic spots for a sunset- aperitivo. 'The Bomb!' As Sandro calls these spots. And he was right! The swimmingpool is great to cool-off and relax. We really recommend this place.

From the warm welcome till the affectionate greetings all was perfect, amazing. Sandro and Monica are super hosts!! Their kindness, passion, dedication and unbelievably in-depth knowledge of the area will leave you speechless. They will meticulously guide you to the best spots off the beaten track where you will enjoy a breath-taking local experience in terms of beaches, restaurants, landscapes, etc. A unique experience I have never had before. I really felt at home and happy to come back every day after a long day to chill out at the pool and enjoy Monica’s cake (delicious) surrounded by olive and plum trees in the silence of the nature. Our location was at the bottom of the house and located on a beautiful hill. Downside of this is only one window and door. But still a very comfortable apartment with all the things you could need. We would you back to this place the next time we visit Sardinia.
Very nice host. He welcomes us, we got a lovely cake and gave very good advice about what to do, where to go, where to park and what the best time of the day was to do so. We discovered places we would not have found without Sandro! His place is beautiful, quiet en with a pool, use of the BBQ, hammocks. All you need to relax for a while.

The apartment itself was on the small side. We had trouble to place our suitcases without getting in the way.
Sandro is an exceptional host. Very friendly, always in for a chat. Very helpful to give good recommendations what to do and where to eat. A real gemstone of a host! Highly recommended! The house is well equipped. A nice pool, places to sit and relax.

The only thing that I can think of is the Wifi is not that stable and strong, but that is because of the location. Nothing else that I can think of.
Sandro was the star of Il Sogno de Alghero. We were greeted warmly and Sandro took the time to take us through some great recommendations for activities and dinner places, even beyond Alghero. Additionally, his wife baked a super delicous cake. The swimming pool is a great place to stay if you ar the casa and the room & bathroom was spacious and comfortable.

Quiet luxurious location with large garden with olive trees and great view over the hills. Good pool with sunbeds. Fantastic host. Close to all facilities and several interesting locations to visit during holiday. Alghero is only a few minutes drive has a very cozy historic center with lots of restaurants. The great advice from the host for places to visit, things to do and bars and restaurants to try made our experience complete.

Il sogno d’Alghero This place is really like a dream. Nice structure in a quiet place, near from the city center of Alghero 10mn by car. Not far from the Airport 15mn by car. Sandro and Monica are very kind and their avaibility is higly apreciated. They demonstrate the real italian hospitality. This is the right place for a relaxing stay. Nice sweaming pool and amazing garden full of olive threes and a view of the country of Alghero. The accomodations are clean and well maintained. Everything is done in order to spend an amazing stay. In other words ‘’ the place to be ‘’
