Great place to stay, full of character

It is an interesting place to stay, it is an old mill that has been carefully converted to offer comfortable rooms whilst retaining most of the original features of the mill. It really could be a museum - it is a piece of local history where you can admire the construction and original purpose of the building and are reminded of it's past. Our room had a mountain view and it was quiet and clean. I liked the location because it was a little of the beaten track - away from any towns although that means you would need transport of some variety to get there. The host and staff were helpful and friendly - and as the lady that served breakfast spoke only a little english it pleased me that we were staying somewhere more rural than most tourist destinations. In the evening we drove into the local town and were lucky enough to find Trattoria Vecchi Sapori where we had a lovely meal.

Nothing to complain about. We would have really liked to dine at the hotel as we were tired after a long drive but going out again for dinner was worth it as well.

The owner is very kind and extremely helpful. As they were not serving dinner that night, he recommended an excellent restaurant for us and booked us a table. He also arranged for me to charge my car overnight, which is really appreciated! The building is interesting as the hotel is set up in an old watermill. You can read and see part of the history there.

Really all good, only the shower already shows some moist and rust, despite everything else being top condition. For awareness not criticism: some level of mobility is required for excursions and eating out.

The history of the old mill combined with a modern accommodation in a vintage style. Very friendly host and servants. Excellent food and good wine, local kitchen, please stay and try it out.

The location is absolutely beautiful, it was lovely to be able to hear the running water from the canal all night from our room. The mill has been lovingly renovated, and we really enjoyed our dinner at the mill with the beautiful view.

Roads around are muddy or dirt roads with potholes and nav can drag you through them, so it’s better to plan route more precisely.

Nice Italian sweet breakfast with cornetto, but when I asked for gluten free options, owner offered very good cheese an salami. Very appreciated very polite and good landlord attitudes. I felt very warmly welcomed. Room was very comfortable and for the price above expectations luxurious. Hotel is very well designed combination of modern and functional parts with soul of the historic mill with preserved original parts, like small museum. Big thanks for the service!

We booked two nights in the facility. Two days before arrival, the owner of the facility informed us that we could not stay in the facility for two nights, but only for one night, and that he would provide us with accommodation in another facility. I asked him to send me photos and a description of the facility where he would accommodate us, however he reported that he could not. He also offered to serve us dinner for free for that. Since we were there with friends, we asked for compensation to have dinner that not only us but also our friends. Then he announced that he would serve dinner for them as well. When we left the facility after the first night, the owner charged us for dinner for our friends. I protested but he did not want to accept it. I ended up paying him. It was about 10 o'clock. then I asked him for an address for another facility where we would sleep another night. He said we could only get into that facility from 5 p.m. We had nowhere to go with our suitcases but to carry them with us all day. That afternoon we had an exhibition of pottery in a neighboring village. We also needed a bathroom to take a shower, but we had nowhere to go. We changed on the street and went to the exhibition sweaty. We arrived at the second facility only after 10 pm. There was no hot water there. The next morning, we let the water run and waited 10 minutes for the hot water to come. And then she went so slowly - drop by drop. So it took me 15 minutes to get the soap off my body. Overall, this ruined our entire trip. We returned home dissatisfied and angry. We drove 750 km to get there. Passionately. My recommendation: It would be best for the facility to change owner.

The building and the environment are beautifully decorated. There are a lot of interesting elements of the old mill.

Somewhat remote. Good for outdoor activities but if you’re looking for shopping and active nightlife, this is not your place.

Away from the hustle and bustle. Nice rural setting near Italian Alps. Unique converted mill nicely done! Manager very personable and had good recommendations for things to do in the area.
