Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaSmokers outside my room in the inner courtyard which was quite nice, but people smoking made it impossible to have window opened. Closet smelled of stale cigarettes
Staff, location, the room was clean and spacious for the size. Staff were helpful and friendly; location was excellent, you could walk around the city comfortably avoiding taxi drivers who took advantage of tourists! Coffee machine and cookies. The public areas were very tasteful and nice.

CroatiaWe had an issue with the reservation. They said it was canceled, but it wasn't. After being told there were no more rooms, they still found one on the top floor, in the attic. It was dark and the decor didn't match the pictures.
Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. The hotel is in a great location, and they offer free croissants, coffee, and juice in the morning. I wish we had gotten the room from the pictures, then the rating would be maximum. As it is, knowing they had to scramble to find a room, and we got one in the attic, it slightly diminishes the experience for me. Still, I would recommend it.

AustriaWell, the staff was super kind and professional. We just dislike few things.. The point is that pictures and description of the venue are amazing, but once there at the end you just realize and remember that it’s a 3*hotel. The stairs at the entrance are uncomfortable and the way is tight; the shower it’s so crazy small that you cannot make a relaxing shower, you need to fight to the curtains which sticks on the skin. The duvet is wrapped in an open sheet, so after a while in bed you will find yourself with The Duvet without a sheet. Nice the coffee area but not enough for a real breakfast above all for savory breakfast lover. I used to use Ortigia soaps and I doubt the bottles contained real ortigia soaps, I couldn’t recognize the smell of the fragrance and the texture. So maybe it’s a bit overrated for the services offered. However I think I’ll go back one day.
The location is amazing.

IsraelSome furniture in the room would be good to renovate , just for the general impression . Some more light would be useful .The noise from the room upstairs, when the kid started to jump and run at 6:30 a.m was very unpleasant, so may be the isolation between the rooms should be better. Also you have about 20 stairs to climb up to the reception area ( and then you have a lift for upper floor) - for us it wasn't an issue but might be taken in consideration for the people with disabilities or seniors .
The location of this hotel is unbeatable -5-7 min. Walk to all "must "sites in Rome , small street from Via del Corso, we stayed there during the Easter so it was very busy and plenty of people but the hotel was quite at night. The staff was friendly, especially Georgio, always happy to help - thank you ! The room is basic but clean , good beds , good towels, good water stream in the shower. Coffee and croissants in the morning were very nice to have.

BelgiumUnfortunately too noisy on the 1st floor (classic rooms and some superior rooms). The staff was super nice and we could upgrade to the suite room paying a complement which is worth it. Quite expensive for a 3* hotel, but overall we were super comfortable in the suite room.
The location was perfect. The hotel was super clean and the decoration really nice.

United KingdomOnly real negative was the noise in the night, but in a city I guess it can’t be helped.
Location was brilliant, lovely clean rooms and bathrooms. Staff were so helpful with recommendations on things to do/places to eat and also great with tips on travel. Was a tiny bit noisy throughout the night.

United StatesMy room was by the front desk and was very loud. The walls are a bit thin and often heard phones ringing from other rooms.
Great location with updated & clean rooms. Very comfortable space and the room was quite large for being in the center of the city. All staff was very kind and helpful.

United StatesThey put us in room 102, literally 2 seconds from the front desk, which made it a little loud if people were checking-in or talking. Also, the room was exterior, and the location can get pretty noisy, specially early in the morning
Decoration is sick, rooms are bigger than I thought, and bed is comfortable. Free coffee/juice/water/croissants every morning makes it even better

United StatesWe were promised two single twin beds. I even called before to confirm before booking. Upon arrival they told us it’s not possible anymore, which was very frustrating to us- as we were male and female friends and wanted to have our own beds…luckily once we got into the room we were able to move the connected twins apart from eachother ourselves. Just was a bit frustrating during check in to hear that even though I called before (twice) to confirm the set up, they cannot accommodate us anymore. We were close to leaving the hotel due to the staff’s refusal to accommodate before seeing the room, thinking it was really just one bed. Luckily we took a look and did it ourselves. Either way, a stressful welcome indeed. Also weird how the front door entrance stays wide open all night. Didn’t love that. Would recommend implementing some kind of bell or key pass system to make guests feel a bit safer. 👍
Amazing value for money. Perfect location on a charming pedestrian street in the center. Facilities are okay and clean, simple. Beds super comfy.
