There is a train line next to the property the trains run throughout the day and night. If you’re a light sleeper this may not be the place for you.

Beautiful hotel, a modern decor, with a relaxing vibe. There is a very nice dinner restaurant on site.

Nothing that I can think of ☺️

It is a very clean, peaceful, family friendly and elegant resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Insulae Resort. The staff is amazing, with a very good level of English, and super friendly to our 4 year old son. The restaurant, ZAYT Restaurant, is to die for. I don’t understand how it doesn’t have a Michelin star yet… The access to the beach is a short walk with stairs. The beach is rocky with little amount of sand but still very nice!

The pool was incredible, just the whole ambiance and scenery was dreamy. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were thoughtfully prepared, with slippers, creams, toiletries and more.

What I didn’t like was the room and the house cleaning services. Very small for a family of 4 persons and not very clean. We found socks from the previous person in the blanket on the bed, but the reception stuff was very nice and sent immediately cleaning ladies to change the beds. And they always forgot to refill the shower gel and the towels daily. They were acting like a 3/4 stars hotel from this point of view. You have to ask at the reception if you need towels, shower gel. And, for the pool towels, they said we are entitled to change it for free only one time; second time we have to pay, which is for the first time in my life to hear that you have to pay in a 5* hotel for pool’s towels. And regarding the location, just behind the hotel there is a train that pass almost every hour and it’s noisy . But it compensates a little bit with the fact that the location is quite remotely in a small village far from the city, near the sea, between villas.

The stuff especially the pool waiters and breakfast’s waiters were absolutely great. Very nice, always trying to help and make you feel like in a 5 stars hotel. Excellent breakfast too. Thank you guys!

bit more selection for breakfast would have been nice, but that is a personal opinion. My husband loved it.

everything was excellent. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Complementary welcome drink on arrival/check-in. Dinner at the onsite restaurant was exceptional. Worthy of a michelin star. Well priced also. Room was clean and a good size. The cocktails were great at the poolside bar and the vibe was relaxed and chilled. We stayed during shoulder season and although the hotel was not full, all the amenities were available to us.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Everything was wonderful .. from the moment we arrived at the resort to when we left, all the staff were very attentive, friendly and professional.. always there if you needed anything .. everything was immaculate, luxurious feeling rooms bathrooms, very tastefully decorated, the breakfast was amazing everything was fresh and a choice of eggs, and a big selection of Italian meats, cheese and pastries.. waiter served tea and coffee at the table a choice of eating indoors or outdoors.. the grounds were pretty and immaculate, during happy hour they offered free selections of home baked canapés .. the barman was so lovely and made my cocktails exactly how I like them.. we had dinner in the restaurant one evening and it was delicious, both salvo and Alexandro were on hand for everything.. honestly everyone couldn’t do enough for you… I loved the neutral, muted Tones of the place and all set in a lush tropical setting, my photos were as awesome as the place, the closest small town was Cefalu, it was easy to get to, it’s probably the prettiest town by the sea in the whole of Sicily.. we would definitely return

Nothing - everything was 5 stars.

The staff were incredible. I have never met such warm, welcoming and accommodating staff ANYWHERE (and that includes top 5 star resorts). The breakfast was beyond outstanding - we had a flight to catch and ended up sitting for 40 minutes at breakfast just to enjoy the wonderful food and tranquil atmosphere.

There isn't anything we didn't like about this resort. Absolutely hands down the best place I've ever stayed!

Absolutely loved our stay here! We arrived very late after a long delayed journey and the staff were ready to great us as soon as we got out of the car with welcome drinks and a warm reception. As we came at the end of the season our room got upgraded and we ended up staying in a room right by the pool. It was so quiet and as a small resort there were few guests so it was a lovely peaceful stay. The hot tub and incredibly friendly cats were the highlight of the trip and the small touches like having board games, ping pong table and having a beach only 10 minutes away made it a very fun stay. Very clean with friendly staff there isn't anything we didn't like about this place.

Easy check in, nice little bar and snack bar, spotless room, comfortable, nice pool, good little gym, along the beach is a sidewalk that goes right into town. Good restaurant with mixed selection of items. Excellent breakfast buffet with egg dishes prepared at request. All of the staff were really good.

No real faults. The town is a 40 minute walk so taxis are required. In end of October they finish up at around 11pm so something to consider.

Resort is intimate and beautiful. Nice lounge and pool area with bar close. Staff are exceptional and very accommodating. Restaurant food was beautiful, drinks were great and breakfast selection is good. Would a 100% stay there again as even at full capacity there's a maximum of 30 people there so still feels relaxing.

Breakfast and lunch are okey, but I would suggest going elsewhere for that as it does not match the amazing Italian cuisine. There are traintracks close to the hotel so you can notice a train passing by every few hours, but it isn’t really noticeable.

It is somewhat secluded, but is really close to some beautiful cities! Pool and bar were great and the secluded beach terras was a nice surprise. The people working there are super friendly and helpful always offering advice on activities and flexible with our late departure!

Everything was amazing, I can't fault it at all.

Insulae is luxurious, relaxed and comfortable. We stayed in one of the pool rooms with a little jacuzzi and it was everything we could've hope for. We even ate at the resort restaurant a few times and the food was delicious. Breakfast was lovely, staff were wonderful. We will absolutely be back and will be recommending it to everyone! I'd like to add that my husband and I stayed here with our two year old and it was great for families.

Dinner portions were smaller than we expected. We did eat at the resort however compared to the meal portions in restaurants in town the resort meal portions were smaller

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very nice. The location is nice however it would be amazing if there was a shuttle that took you into town. We had a car so it didn’t matter but other guests had to walk or take a taxi and they thought a shuttle would be nice. Overall the staff and resort was amazing

We enjoyed everything, maybe a gym can be good as my husband would have used it! Having more variety for breakfast and lunch would be great as well!

Our stay at Insulae was great, wish we could’ve stayed longer! It’s the perfect intimate resort to relax! Drinks were great and the service exceptional, Antonia at the front desk was always so helpful as well as the rest of the staff! Would definitely return :)
