How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location. A few minutes walk from the main train station. Staff were very helpful especially Veronica who was always so cheerful and answered all our many questions patiently. She gave us tips on where to go and what to do in Milan. The best hotel staff I came across in all the hotels I stayed in Italy.

Good location, situated opposite the Milan Central Station and close by to tram, metro & bus stops, very convenient in travelling. Friendly staff and most of them can speak English. Nicolo the receptionist and Elizabetta, the waitress are very helpful and professional in their respective portfolios. Breakfast is superb with good varieties. Bottled water and soft drinks in room fridge are all complimentary ,can replenish at no charge upon request. Coin operated laundrette at 5th floor is a bonus facility to us.

The hair dryer in the room didn’t work very well.
The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The beds were especially comfortable. The location was ideal.

Great breakfast, great location right next to central station so easy to get to everything. Spa can be booked at reception and I really like the shower'n'go service they offer so you can tourist all day having checked out and then return to collect luggage and have a shower before heading to the airport - a nice touch. Food options good in restaurant, tasty coffee. FREE MINIBAR - Very nice to be able to have a drink or 2 each day without popping out to the shops. Great restaurants nearby.... Would definitely stay here again.

Distance from City Center: If you're looking to be right in the heart of the action, this hotel might be slightly further than ideal. However, the metro access makes it easy to get around. Limited On-Site Parking: The hotel has limited on-site parking, so if you're driving, be sure to check availability beforehand.
Modern and Stylish: The hotel had a chic and modern vibe throughout, from the lobby to the room. It felt trendy and perfect for a city break. Spacious Rooms: Our room was surprisingly spacious, which was great for our family. We had enough room for our luggage and for our son to move around comfortably. Excellent Staff: The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always available to answer our questions and offer recommendations for sightseeing or restaurants. Great Amenities: We enjoyed the rooftop bar with its stunning views of the city, especially during sunset. The complimentary drinks offered were a nice touch. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options to satisfy everyone's taste. Good Location: While not right in the city center, the location was convenient. It was a short walk from the metro station, making it easy to get around the city. There were also several good restaurants nearby.
