How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The mattress needs an update and the breakfast could be more varied.
The hosts are really friendly. The bedroom is clean and has a nice balcony to relax. It is easy to walk to the beach and connect to the center by bus (21). Really close to the stadium so for a competition there it is the perfect location.

The room was dark and quite small, and so was the bathroom. It looked a little dated
Great location for going to the beach, good enough to come back to shower and sleep. The staff was nice and as helpful as they could, not speaking much English

Could have more options for breakfast
Really nice and tidy room with comfy bed ,desk and A/C. We also like the big bathroom and shower. It’s a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We were also able to park our car for free .

Little parking space.
Excellent spacious comfortable room with very good bathroom. Aircon worked well. Breakfast was very good, with selection of tea and coffee, toast, cake and pastries all served by the owner who was delightful.

We Would have preferred some More hot breakfast choices, though the typical fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastry and coffee was excellent.
We felt like at home of dear relatives, since we we're welcomed by the owners , charming Susana and her Husband Pippo...in a private well located, modern B&B . We we're advised about Places to go, offered free New bycicles to ride in town . We we're just Three blocks from the Beach , Next to a large Pine trees park and with the bus stop in front.

It would be nice if the balcony door wouldn't be left open after cleaning. It may be nice if there were some more bread\breakfast options.
Nice staff and decent coffee. The croissants are always fresh and yummy. The rooms are clean and the B&B is close by to the beach. The people are very helpful and friendly.

It was a good stay, for a weekend with friends in Pescara. The staff is super friendly and available. The facilities are very good and the location is a little far from the city center, but with a bus station very close to the accommodation.

The communication was difficult as the property manager and receptionist spoke only a few English words. The check-in was not straightforward and needed a few phone calls to arrange it. Breakfast was basic and was on display from the night before without proper maintenance of the food. Could improve communication because I might have misinterpreted the intention of the manager. I had the impression that the manager made fun of me when I requested to rent a room for a late check-out by providing access to a public bathroom with no light available there.
The B&B although basic in the facilities was clean and quiet. The receptionist was friendly and was warm to guests. The property manager tried to facilitate my check-in process at 11pm although it was through several phone calls and not on site at the time of my arrival. Location was not very far from the beach and a few nice restaurants close by. Breakfast coffee was especially good.

Clean, Friendly, Comfortable
We were looking for a property within walking distance from the beach and restaurants and this was perfect. Check-in was easy, with the hosts being very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed to have an enjoyable experience. Breakfast in the morning was simple yet pleasant, with the host remembering our preferences, two cappuccinos and croissants!! Overall, it was a perfect stay for myself and my boyfriend. We hope to return soon !!
