Our bathroom had a horrible smell and we needed to keep the bathroom door shut and fan running when inside. One of the floor drains was blocked and filled - I can imagine the smell coming from there. The rubber strips in the shower were black from dirt or mold.

Room Size & Breakfast

The location is perfect if you want to stay close to the beaches and the cable car bottom/starting point. All the top luxury hotels are in the vicinity and you can access their private beach with done charges. Other than that, it's a decent hotel, not the most comfortable or luxurious option but just enough for a decent stay. We found our room to be too small but it could be that the pricier rooms were big enough. The staff is extremely helpful and polite.

Continental breakfast was to our modest tastes very poor. No hot food. Not even a toaster. The bulk of what was on offer was sweet confectionery.Parking facility nearby was, for us, quite pricey at €15 per day.

The told us breakfast starts at 7.30 am but it wasn't ready when we came down by this time. I know this is the "italian style" but as they often host guests going on an etna-tour they should know we have to be at the meeting point at a certain time.

The hotel is close to the beach and Isola Bella. Also it's just a 5 min walk to the cable car station. There's a mini market up the street which has delicious sandwiches and arancini. The staff is really nice. Great view on the sea from our room. There's a big parking lot just around the corner (at the cable car station) where you can park your (rental) car (you have to pay for the parking). During the afternoon ot might be difficult to find a free parking lot.

the bathroom facilities are very basic and dated. The shower was extremely small, you can’t bend down without opening a shower door. There was a very strong fragrance smell which I was sensitive to.

This is a very well situated property. the views overlooking the beach are incredible and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. We loved the proximity to everything and that parking is reserved (because parking is very hard to find in this area).

The room we were in was too small. There was no place to open a suitcase. The terrace was a bit dirty. The water in the shower cabin was not draining properly. The hotel has great location, but it is a bit run down. It needs some freshening up so that the price for a night there matches the quality.

Great location! Close to both beaches and close to the lift that can take you to the center of Taormina. The staff was really nice and helping.

Poor cleaning (one look under the bed and it was full of dust and stuff from previous guests). Also, they don’t accept the newest European credit cards (with 3D secure or similar), which resulted in the hotel cancelling our order (since pre-authorization was not possible even though the card was completely valid), and we had to make another reservation.

Great location, right by Mazzarò beach. Friendly staff and OK facilities. Just ask for cheese/salami/yoghurt and the breakfast is not that bad. Wish we ordered a room with a balcony.

location was to die for looking onto the water . staff were so helpful, in actual fact they couldn’t do enough for us . our flight was cancelled due to air traffic controllers strike in Italy with very short notice , yet hotel managed to move things about so a) we had a Roman for an extra night b) we kept the same room . Hotel was old rustic Italian style and quite basic but spotless inside and we rented too. on 4th floor giving breathtaking views over the Ionian Sea and would definitely recommend that floor to anyone wishing g to stay there we will defo be back

The beds were very basic, not very comfortable. The room was basic and was not big enough to support a couple of chairs and three guests….. I think it was probably a spacious two bed room but a cramped three bed. The breakfast was a typical cold cuts and pastries but it didn’t change and we were there for 9 nights! The coffee was poor. There is no bar or area to sit outside of your room so if I were to return I would make sure I had a room with a balcony., they have a few, that would have made our stay near perfect!

The view from the bedroom and bathroom were spectacular. It was a joy to wake up every morning.

The rooms are cozy, the beds are really firm and the air-conditioning takes a while to cool off the room.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful (they arranged a taxi for us when we had car trouble). The location is perfect - very near the funicular to reach Taormina or walk to the beach. The best rooms are those with a small balcony, not just a window. Laundry service is available as is parking (not included in the base rate).
