Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis is a lovely apartment in a great location within the old town of Gallipoli. Although the apartment is in the the old town it was in a very quiet street at night. Breakfast was in a lovely little cafe serving typical Italian pastries, made in the cafe and were delicious. Parking was easy in the car park at the port, it was 10 euros per night. Federica was an excellent host, keeping in touch throughout our stay, ensuring that we had everything we needed.

United KingdomIt was a unique vacation, and indeed, our host, Federica, was the one who constantly contributed to the success of the stay. 1 - excellent communication starts immediately after booking the location and throughout the stay. 2 - the location in the old centre of Gallipoli is close to all the important tourist attractions and the beach (Purita Spiaggia). The room is furnished and maintained by Federica. Thus, we could feel the specifics of the life of the traditional community in the area. 3 - breakfast was in the Apulian spirit, with dishes prepared every morning.

United StatesWe stayed three nights in this clean and beautiful b&b decorated with a very fine taste maintaining the old Apulian charming style. Our host Federica welcomed us and made sure we enjoyed our trip. We highly recommend the place being few steps to the beach and close to everything from the Cathedral to the restaurants and all the shops. We will go back there definitely.

CanadaThe public parking can be difficult but if you are patient you will get a spot! Worth the effort to stay in the old town.
The host, Federica, was amazing. She was super helpful and provided many great recommendations. The room was spacious, had a fridge and well located on a quiet street close to a small grocery store but only a few minutes from the center. Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend this property!!

It was a perfect appartement! Everything was well maintained and clean! It was sound proof and dark enough in the night. We really liked staying there. The location was super, it was very near the city center with nice cosy streets with restaurants and close to the city-beach. The hostess gave us a really warm welcome and helped us with all the questions we had, already before we arrived through WhatsApp. She also checked if everything was well. The beds slept well and the room was spacious. Also the shower was nice, with a 'rain'-shower and another showerhead if preferred. A fridge was available in the room and also a clothing-drying rack next to the door outside. Overall: a perfect stay!

United KingdomFederica was so lovely! Great hospitality for the whole trip! She even provided gluten and dairy free snacks when I mentioned my dietary requirements which I really appreciated. The location is wonderful and the room is beautiful! I would definitely stay again next time I come to Gallipoli. For breakfast she provided us with tokens for cafes nearby which I thought was a lovely touch as we got to try local pastries and of course Café! Thank you very much Federica! :)

The property is tucked away in one of Gallipoli’s many beautiful traditional historic streets. Walk 2 mins in any direction and your beside the sea, a beautiful restaurant or the main centre of Gallipoli’s historic centre. The room is spacious beautifully decorated , and exceptionally clean and you can tell that it’s been well looked after and loved. The property felt modern, however not in a way that takes away from the authenticity of the property. If you are travelling with a car you can opt for secure parking which is 10 mins away from the property which is buy far the best possible location considering the historic towns car restrictions. Federica and her husband are the owners of the property and we felt welcomed and looked after throughout our stay keeping in contact via WhatsApp with any issues we needed including recommendations and suggestions of what we should do with our time in Gallipoli. If we had known before that this property and the people that are in charge of this establishment would be so impressive we would have extended our time with them. A great property for our amazing memories thank you Chris and Carlo

United KingdomNothing - everything was great.
Best location possible in Gallipoli - right in the middle of the historic center (2min walk from the main street, so it is quiet but extremely easy to get around). The room is beautifully decorated and equipped with the most comfortable bed ever. Our host Federica was lovely and always here to help. She provided us with great recommendations on where to eat in Gallipoli, which made our stay very enjoyable - best food ever (and gelato!). The room also comes with breakfast included, at a local cafe which serves traditional Apulian pasticcioto.

NetherlandsVery nice and helpful host. The room was very clean, new and nice decoration. The bed was wonderful and soft. Finding a parking place is hard at some times and you have to pay with cash. The host offered us a parking space in a box nearby. We even got the keys, so we could get the car whenever we wanted. Breakfast is for the sweet tooth, but a good start of the day. In the end we got a parking ticket for putting the car nearby (for a couple of minutes) to get the luggage, but the host fixed this with the police. Would highly recommend, good location, right in the centre of town!

SwitzerlandThe parking situation. Although it says on booking that parking is available for 15 euros per day, it is not. One must fight for a place in the port. Also good to know: only coins are accepted there.
The location is great, it has a supermarket just next door and is very close to the sea.
