How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Cute, central room. We loved our stay here! The host was so friendly, and kind enough to let us store our bags. Easy walk from the train station. Would love to stay here again someday.

This was the perfect option for Cinque Terre! The location is ideal (very central but also in a quiet, safe alley). The room itself is modern, clean and beautifully designed too. The staff were very accomodating and nice, even kept our bags at their shop during our last day of exploring. I definitely recommend staying here as a base to explore Cinque terre.

Perhaps a bit more hanging space for clothes as the only place was above the kettle
Excellent central iocation. An adequate breakfast was provided We were able to leave our cases in the shop on our last day after checking out of the apartment

Everything was very good.
The location was fantastic. It was an easy walk from the train station. The room was very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the Main Street from the window. There was a few breakfast items available. The check in process was easy and helpful. Great value for your money.

What an amazing place! From the friendly staff greeting us, to the location, the beautiful room, and all the amenities, I cannot say enough good things about this place!!! They have everything you could want, even in-room espresso and breakfast items. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was nice and cool. The windows also block out all the busy Main Street noise. When we return to Manarola, we will be booking this property again.

the rooms are very clean and exactly like the pictures on the website. host was very friendly and responsive when I texted about a change in our arrival time. they were also very flexible to let us keep the room for an extra hour when we wanted to quickly take a morning dip and use the shower after. we also got a cute gift because sth very small was not fixed in the room (sth negligible). def recommend to anyone who wants to stay there

Great location in the middle of Manarola, with easy accessibility yo train station and restaurants. Clean and lovely rooms, very well done up. Staff were super friendly and helpful!

The room was spacious, clean & comfortable and well equipped with ample toiletries, snacks and drinks and even a smart TV. The decor and speaker were also nice touches that made our stay great. Huge plus point to the location - it was close to the train station and very central to all parts of town.

It’s the cinque terra so you always have stairs to climb. In all I think 25 with a big landing after the first set which was helpful with big heavy bags. Staff happy to help bring bags to the apartment which was great. We had a tiny problem with the shower draining slowly and they fixed that immediately.
Fabulous location in the heart of Manarola, Great to have a washing machine. Beds soft but pretty comfortable. Lounge area was a Good size, kitchen had oven and stove and microwave and kettle plus coffee machine. Balcony was big enough for us to have dinner at the table. Staff really helpful and respond to requests quickly. Also nice that they leave you two towels to use for swimming which we did every day.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't great but this was a very minor thing that didn't bother us at all.
Very comfortable and cosy room, the bed was super comfortable! Easily located to wander out and enjoy all of Manarola. The coffee and breakfast supplies gave us a good start each day. Check in was very easy and helpful, especially as we were late due to train delays. The little book in the room with handwritten restaurant recommendations was great!
