Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The sink was cracked, the shelf was broken, the light was missing, the shower head was broken off of the hose, the enclosure doors were broken, the biday drain was stuck closed, and the toothbrush holder cup was caked with scum. The beds where uncomfortable as we're the pillows.

United KingdomUncomfortable beds like sleeping on the floor Very loud party (stag and hen do ) on til late and I mean loud avoid the room next to the pool. Air con was very load and didn’t work. I think you might want to avoid if your a family like us. Seems to be more of a party hotel Breakfast was average no fresh fruit, just Greek yogurt, small cornetti (which were nice) and a few drinks

SloveniaWhen we arrived, the first thing we did was pay for the room. The room was in the basement below them. When one of the owners opened the room, it was uncleaned. We told them to take their time and tidy up the room so that it was completely clean. We waited by the pool for 1 hour, after which the room was supposed to be ready. When I went to take a shower, I noticed that it hadn't been cleaned. All the dirt in the bathtub and the spots on the sink didn't leave me indifferent. The floor was not clean either. The room had a strange smell. The bed is quite uncomfortable. Finally, I also questioned the cleanliness of the bed linen. In the pool was a lot of hairs too. I was dissapointed about cleanliness in this accommodation.
For the sorry they gave us beer and ice tea on the house account. Otherwise, we didn't like anything else.
