How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I wouldn’t say that I don’t like it, but the way to the sea was a bit complicated. Apartment is near the beautiful city centre Taormina. This city is located on the mountain with the amazing views, but the sea, as you can say, is underneath. So you need to take a bus, or a funicular, or just go by your feet (which is about 30 minutes). We found also perfect, wide beach, which called Mazzeo, to which you can take a straight bus.
Everything was lovely. Good apartment. We stayed there with my friend in different rooms. Friendly hosts, Anjelo answered on all our questions, gave us a good recommendation where to go and helped when we needed. So thank you! You will find a groceries store near. A lot of restaurants or cafes, city centre and lovely shores nearby.

We loved the hospitality Angelo and Tatiana showed us from the moment we booked. They accommodated our early check - in, helped us with taxis and even woke up to help with our luggages. The house is wonderful and is perfect for a holiday, they really thought of everything. Location is amazing so highly recommend if you’re in Taormina!!

Amazing hosts! So helpful with all our requests, they really went above and beyond. The apartment was well located, a short walk from the main strip (and right near the best cannoli in Sicily!) but still very quiet. The apartment was well equipped and very comfortable. We would definitely come back here to stay again. Thank you!

Nothing. Everything was perfect, I wish I could’ve stayed longer.
We had the most amazing time staying at La Casa de Angelina. The apartment was very spacious, super clean, and comfortable. The location was amazing too. The hosts Tati & Angelo made our stay even more special. They were very welcoming and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Visiting Taormina and staying at La Casa de Angelina was the highlight of our entire trip to Sicily. I wanted to say thank you to Tati & Angelo for the beautiful memories we made while staying in Taormina.

Our stay in La Casa di Angelina was excellent!!!Everything was great, the flat, location, we had everything we needed in the flat, Angelo & Tatiana were hosts to wish for! It felt like home, thanks for making our vacation even more beautiful❤️ We will definitely come back again and recommend to our friends❤️

They are wonderful hosts, very nice and helpful. The house is big, spacious, clean, quiet, with everything you need, located to the proximity of center, around 15 min by foot from bus and telerefico that goes at the beach, comfortable bed. Thank you!

Everything about the object was perfect. Location is fantastic, very close to the city center, walking distance to all major attractions in the area. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with all necessary utilities. However, the most exceptional thing about La Casa di Angelina were the hosts - without a doubt the friendliest, most helpful and caring people we have ever visited. Wholeheartedly recommending this object to everybody.

You need to be aware the car park isn’t too far away but it’s a steep climb with luggage with a good few steps to get up to the apartment. Also it’s 20 euros a day. For us and it’s a personal thing we know… the bed is a firm memory foam as are the pillows. We also found the blue sheets a little uncomfortable. Don’t let this put you off it’s a lovely apartment and good value in a lovely town.
It’s a lovely well appointed apartment hosted by a lovely couple who are keen to please with lots of advice and assistance. It’s very clean with plenty of space. The shower is great, cooking facilitates are great and even an outdoor space with a table and chairs. There’s even Netflix and YouTube available. It’s very quiet at night. It’s a short walk into the centre of town but you need to be aware there are a lot of steps on the way back up the hill. Trust google and you will find the apartment.
