Paid laundry is terribly inconvenient. If you live for several days, you have a pile of clothes to wash. First of all, the cost of one wash is 5 Euros, and if you, like all normal people, have white and colored clothes, you will spend at least 10 Euros, because there will be at least two washes. Some clothes cost less than washing them :-/ Secondly, there are no clothes dryers. You can wash it, but there is nowhere to dry it. We just took a free dryer, which is intended for a changeable bed in the apartment. An alternative is to go to Certaldo, where there is a washing machine and dryer for a fee, and spend half a day of time, which would be more logical to use for travel and rest. Thirdly, you have to run and check if the washing machine has finished washing. And so several times from apartment to laundry :-/ You can only wash in the evening because during the day you travel and rest. And in the evening, no one from the staff is there and you can't buy another token if something went wrong and it didn't work) And this happened with us. In short, paid laundry is extremely inconvenient and we saw this only in an old chalet in Switzerland. Today is 2023, not 1990, and 90% of accommodations on Booking.com have a free washing machine, such as dishes or a kettle. We did not reduce points for the apartment, but we hope owners will take into account this moment. Thank you.

Hy, we spent 7 days at this beautiful place. The arrival was adventurous, through a wonderful landscape.The apartment was equipped with everything necessary. Claudia was very helpful, friendly and always there for us. She gave us perfect tips about places to visit, restaurants, and where shopping is possible. La Certaldina is the perfect starting point to visit San Gimignano, Florence, Siena and other places. One on my highlights, was the Vespa Museum in Pontedera. (if you are intersted in Vespas ) Also the local menu, which was cooked for the guests, was fantastic and recommended to everyone, who loves the Tuscan cuisine. The bathroom is going to need a renovaton soon.

The house is beautiful as well as the interior of the room. We had a ground floor apartment with a terrace with a beautiful view of rolling Tuscan hills. The kitchen had all the needed amenities, even a dish washer. The apartment was clean and spacious with simple yet tasteful interior. The location is also perfect isolated but close to all Tuscan attractions

I don't think we would have changed anything or asked for more. It was fantastic all around.

Claudia was wonderful! She had so much great information about things to do and see in the area. She was very friendly and happy to help us when we had questions. The rooms are perfect and you have everything you need. The pool is also fantastic and it was really great that each room had its own loungers, umbrella, table, and chairs. The property had great views, you can even see the towers of San Gimignano. It was also very quiet. It is in a great location where you can make day trips to many places quickly.

Everything was perfect

Great location! Close to Florence, Siena, San Jamminiano and much more. The place is beautiful, it has a swimming pool and lovely grounds. The apartment is big and comfortable. We were welcomed by Claudia which was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back one day. We highly recommend this beautiful holiday home.

We stayed at the 1st floor in the corner of the house and the only place where wi-fi works was in bedroom.

10 for the view The apartment was clean and spacious, the kitchen fully equipped, for us who travel with a baby it's a must. The view is amazing! Is not so far from the city, 5-10 minutes to drive. The location is perfect to visit Tuscany.

This place needs Airconditioning. Yes- it is a very hot summer in Europe and we have been in Tuscany twice before. I know the Tuscan houses are able to deal with the ‘normal heat’ but this summer has been different. Starting around 11am we had to close the windows and sun shutters and we would open them around 6/7 pm. It was so hot that the coolest place is inside but being on holiday, sitting inside in the dark feels very depressive… if La Certaldina would get airco, at least being inside during the day is not as depressive. At night you therefore need to sleep with your windows open and if you are not used to the sounds… there are plenty of roosters (morning only) and dogs that keep on barking throughout the night… on top op that- we had a lovely ground floor apartment but we would hear our neighbors that lived above us the entire time; footsteps, wooden chairs that are moved, crying babies…We ended up ‘getting though’ the week rather than enjoying it… There is not much to do for teenagers; swimming pool opens at 9:30 and closes at 20:00. All in all- nice property for people with no kids or just small kids. Airco would fix lots. And yes, my mistake I did not book a property with Airco to start with- I just want next travellers to be aware of it as well. Price value is good.
